Meghan Markle and Prince Harry sat down with Oprah Winfrey in an exclusive intimate 90-minute interview, ‘Oprah with Meghan and Harry: A CBS Primetime Special.’ Scheduled to air on March 7, Prince Harry and Megan Markle will speak openly with Oprah Winfrey in a candid conversation. “Markle will address what it was like transitioning into life as a Royal, marriage, motherhood, her philanthropic work, and how she handles her day-to-day life under the public eye,” CBS reported in a statement.
In a snippet of the interview, Winfrey said “I just want to make it clear to everybody there is no subject that’s off-limits.” She later asks Markle, “Were you silent, or were you silenced?” In another clip, the Duke of Sussex talks about his late mother, Princess Diana, as he tells Winfrey about the public scrutiny she often dealt with.
2. Nigeria: Chimamanda Adichie reportedly loses mum
There are reports that Nigerian author and feminist Chimamanda Adichie has lost her mother, Mrs. Grace Ifeoma Adichie. According to reports, Mrs. Adichie died suddenly on Monday, March 1, 2021, in Awka, Anambra State. “It was very sudden and we are devastated,” a family spokesperson said.

3. South Africa: Zozibini Tunzi calls out ‘extremely flawed’ justice system for failing to protect victims
Definitely no stranger to speaking out against injustice, Miss Universe Zozibini Tunzi has lambasted SA’s “extremely flawed justice system” as she weighed in on alleged perpetrators who insist on “victimizing” their alleged victims on social media. She recently returned to Twitter after being offline for a while to express her disappointment in the justice system and how it treats victims of abuse.
Zozibini said she was saddened by the failure of the system to protect victims, particularly those of rape and abuse. She had returned to Twitter to find DJ Euphonik trending. This was after rapper Boity Thulo called out the DJ for his continued “trolling” of an alleged rape victim on social media. Despite the National Prosecuting Authority’s decision to dismiss the rape case against DJs Fresh and Euphonik due to “a lack of sufficient evidence,” the fight in the public court is ongoing.
4. Ghana: India to support Ghana with 50,000 COVID-19 vaccines
The Indian government has pledged to support Ghana with 50,000 doses of the COVID-19 vaccines as a reaffirmation of the friendship that exists between the two countries. The vaccines are expected to arrive in the country by the close of this week.
Already, the Indian government has held discussions with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration on the vaccine and the outcome of that has been communicated to the manufacturers. The India High Commissioner to Ghana, Mr. Sugandh Rajaram, made this known in Accra yesterday at the launch of a mask up a child campaign.
5. Pedri back in training after miraculous injury recovery
Ronald Koeman has revealed that Pedri Gonzalez Lopez is back in training after making a miraculous recovery from injury and could feature for Barcelona in the Copa del Rey on Wednesday. The teenage midfielder went off with an injury to his left leg during the 2-0 La Liga win over Sevilla on Saturday and left Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan Stadium in crutches.
A subsequent scan confirmed that Pedri had pulled a muscle and he was expected to take in at least a couple of weeks on the sidelines, but Koeman has already welcomed him back into his senior set-up.
