1. Kanye West reportedly drops out of the presidential race

There are reports that American rapper and entrepreneur, Kanye West, has dropped out of the 2020 presidential race. The media reports that Kanye West’s quest in the 2020 presidential race has been called off.

According to reports, Steve Kramer, an election strategist hired by West to focus on getting his name on the ballot in Florida and South Carolina, told the media that he’s out of the 2020 race. When asked further about the details of Kanye’s presidential end, Kramer said “I’ll let you know what I know once I get all our stuff canceled.”

2. GBC directed to reduce its 6 digital TV channels to 3 in 60 days


The Ministry of Communications has directed the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC) to reduce its six operating digital television channels to three.

In a letter addressed to the Director-General of the GBC dated June 26, 2020, the Minister of Communications, Mrs. Ursula Owusu-Ekuful, said the directive which is to be implemented within 60 days is to ensure that there is space on the National Digital Terrestrial Television (DTT) platform which is currently at full capacity with 40 operating channels. 3. South Africa: Closing of schools will be decided by the Cabinet – Education Department

The Department of Basic Education has reacted to the South African Democratic Trade Union’s (SADTU) call for schooling to be suspended while the country battles the COVID-19 pandemic, saying such a decision will only be made by the Cabinet.

A number of grades have gone back to the classroom since June after the national lockdown prompted the schools to close doors. In a statement on Tuesday, July 14, 2020, the department said one of the main reasons for the phased-in reopening of schools was to make sure that the right to basic education for all children, is provided.

4. Gokada Founder, Fahim Saleh murdered in his New York apartment

Fahim Saleh, the 33-year-old entrepreneur who founded Gokada, has been murdered in his luxury New York City apartment, according to the New York Times.

Police detectives in New York disclosed that Mr. Saleh’s body was found decapitated and dismembered with an electric saw. His head, limbs, and torso were said to have been found in different parts of the apartment after whoever murdered him tried to clean up the crime scene.

His body was found by his sister, 3:30 pm New York time, who went to check in on him after not hearing from him in 24 hours. She called the police immediately after finding the body. Kanye west presidential race

5. Premier League & EFL summer transfer window to be from July 27 to October 5

The Premier League and English Football League summer transfer windows will be open for 10 weeks between July 27 and October 5, subject to FIFA approval. In addition, the Premier League and EFL say there will be a domestic-only window between October 5-16.

“During this window, clubs will only be able to trade with EFL clubs (either loans or permanent registrations),” said a Premier League statement.

“No transfers can take place between Premier League clubs in this period.”

The EFL also said any new signings by its clubs could not play until the start of the 2020-21 season.
