Justin Baldoni’s $400 million defamation countersuit against Blake Lively has officially been dismissed after the actor and his co-plaintiffs failed to meet a court deadline. On Friday, October 31, U.S. District Court Judge Lewis Liman signed an order ending the case. He noted that Baldoni, 41, and his company, Wayfarer Studios, did not file a further amended complaint following the court’s earlier dismissal in June.
According to court documents, Judge Liman contacted all parties on October 17 to notify them of his intent to enter a final judgment. Lively, 38, was the only one to respond, requesting that the judgment be finalized but that her request for legal fees remain active—a motion the judge approved.
The dismissal marks another chapter in the ongoing “It Ends with Us” legal saga, which began when Lively sued Baldoni in December for alleged on-set misconduct and retaliation—claims he has denied. Baldoni’s now-defunct countersuit accused Lively, her husband Ryan Reynolds, and their publicist of defamation and extortion, a case Judge Liman had already tossed out once in June. Following that decision, Lively called the ruling a “total victory,” expressing gratitude to those who supported her and reaffirming her commitment to advocating for women’s rights. Her original lawsuit against Baldoni remains active, with a trial scheduled for March 2026.

Nigerian global music sensation Burna Boy made a stunning first appearance on The Jennifer Hudson Show in Burbank, California, on Monday, earning thunderous applause for a performance that celebrated African culture and his ever-evolving artistry. The Grammy-winning star, born Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu, made a grand entrance through the show’s iconic Spirit Tunnel, accompanied by live drummers chanting “E kaabo,” Yoruba for “welcome,” while donning a sleek, custom-tailored suit that radiated continental pride.
During his sit-down with host Jennifer Hudson, Burna Boy reflected on his remarkable journey and the creative spirit behind his eighth studio album, “No Sign of Weakness,” released in July 2025. The record, which features collaborations with Travis Scott and Mick Jagger, fuses Afrobeats with rock and hip-hop influences. “Music has always been my way of connecting with people and reminding them that even in tough times, there’s strength in rhythm and resilience in sound,” he said.
Hudson lauded him as “a true cultural bridge,” while fans and industry peers praised his performance for amplifying African music on an American stage, though some Nigerians voiced disappointment online over his limited home performances despite his global reach.
3. Humanitarian Disaster Worsens Across Sudan After RSF Takes Over el-Fasher

Millions across war-torn Sudan remain in urgent need of humanitarian assistance. Fighting has intensified in the western region of Darfur, particularly in el-Fasher, where the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) recently seized control after an 18-month siege. Despite desperate pleas from international agencies, both the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) and the RSF have yet to allow meaningful access for aid convoys.
According to the France-based aid group Solidarités International, only a small fraction of those who fled el-Fasher have reached the nearby town of Tawila, around 50 kilometers away. “People are stuck on roads and in villages still inaccessible due to security reasons,” said Caroline Bouvard, the group’s Sudan country director, warning of a “complete blackout” in communication from el-Fasher since the RSF takeover.
Witnesses who escaped have recounted harrowing scenes of mass executions, torture, and sexual violence by RSF fighters. Thousands more have sought refuge in al-Dabbah camp in Northern State, where overcrowding and shortages of food, clean water, and shelter are worsening daily. The United States, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and Egypt have condemned the ongoing atrocities and urged both sides to allow humanitarian aid to flow freely.
Washington warned the RSF against “retribution and ethnic violence,” referencing the earlier massacre of the Masalit community in West Darfur, and reiterated that “there isn’t a viable military solution.” Meanwhile, U.S. Senator Jim Risch has called for the RSF to be designated a foreign terrorist organization amid growing international outrage over the unfolding humanitarian catastrophe.

Model Winnie Harlow has issued an apology following backlash over her Whitney Houston-inspired Halloween costume. The 31-year-old supermodel dressed as the late music icon from her memorable 2001 BET Awards appearance, where Houston received the Lifetime Achievement Award and famously danced her way to the podium. The moment, which has become a recurring favorite on social media, has long been celebrated for Houston’s infectious energy and charisma.
After posting a video recreating the scene, Harlow was met with mixed reactions, while some praised her for paying tribute, others criticized her for what they perceived as insensitivity. In a statement shared on Instagram Stories on November 2, Harlow thanked fans who enjoyed her look but clarified that her intention was never to mock the late singer. “She was radiant, funny, confident, and captivating,” Harlow wrote, calling the moment “one of my favorites.” She added that Houston remains a “queen” whose legacy goes beyond her struggles, celebrating her “charisma, humor, talent, personality, and wit.”

Just weeks before his highly anticipated bout against Jake Paul, boxing star Gervonta “Tank” Davis has been hit with a new civil lawsuit alleging assault and kidnapping. According to reports, the suit was filed in Miami-Dade County by Davis’ ex-girlfriend, Courtney Rossel, who accuses the 29-year-old of battery, aggravated battery, false imprisonment, kidnapping, and intentional infliction of emotional distress.
The alleged incident occurred on October 27 at Tootsie’s Cabaret in Miami Gardens, where Rossel works as a VIP cocktail waitress. The complaint claims Davis “choked, grabbed, pulled, pushed, and hit her in the back of the head” before dragging her “through a stairway, kitchen, and back entrance into the parking garage.”
Rossel, who said she and Davis were “intimately involved” for five months after meeting in 2022, described the alleged assault as violent and traumatizing. Davis’ longtime trainer, Calvin Ford, dismissed the claims as “nonsense,” adding that they were “trying to see where it’s coming from.” The lawsuit marks the latest in a string of domestic violence allegations against the fighter. Davis has faced multiple similar accusations since 2020, though several charges were later dropped after victims recanted or declined to cooperate with law enforcement.
Despite the controversy, Davis is still slated to face Paul on November 14, 2025, in Miami—a fight already drawing massive media attention for reasons beyond the boxing ring.
