1. Jonathan Majors and Meagan Good are engaged

Hollywood stars Jonathan Majors and Meagan Good are officially engaged after a year and a half of dating. The couple shared the exciting news on Sunday, November 17, during their appearance at the EBONY Power 100 Gala at NYA Studios West in Los Angeles. The event held special significance for the duo, as it marked the place where their love story began two years ago. While showing off her sparkling engagement ring, Good described the engagement as part of a “season of all the good things,” with Majors adding that it was indeed “a season of joy.”

The couple’s romance has been a topic of interest since May 2023, when they were first spotted together at a Los Angeles movie theater. Their relationship blossomed shortly after Good finalized her divorce from pastor DeVon Franklin in June 2022. Reflecting on their journey, Good shared with E! News the serendipity of announcing their engagement at the event where they first crossed paths—in a unisex bathroom, no less.

4. Jay-Z and Wharton partner for HBCU Financial literacy initiative

Jay-Z’s Shawn Carter Foundation (SCF), in collaboration with the Wharton School’s Coalition for Equity and Opportunity, has launched an innovative financial literacy program aimed at empowering students at Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). The initiative, Champions for Financial Legacy (CFFL), seeks to bridge the wealth gap by equipping students with essential financial knowledge and skills for economic success. Backed by Toyota Motor North America and inspired by Wharton’s Bridges to Wealth curriculum, the program emphasizes practical applications of financial literacy, including budgeting, stock market analysis, and wealth-building strategies.

CFFL will debut in spring 2025 at Lincoln University, Norfolk State University, and Virginia State University, with plans to expand to more HBCUs. Faculty from participating schools will receive complimentary professional development training, while student ambassadors will spearhead campus enrollment efforts. According to SCF, the initiative is designed to foster generational wealth and community development through service-learning components, allowing students to apply their financial education in real-world settings.

5. Vinicius Jr. to star in Netflix biographical documentary

Real Madrid’s Brazilian superstar Vinicius Jr. is set to be the focus of a Netflix biographical documentary, slated for release in 2025. The streaming giant announced the project on Tuesday, November 19, promising fans an exclusive behind-the-scenes look into the 24-year-old’s journey from Sao Gonçalo in Brazil to becoming one of football’s most electrifying talents at the Santiago Bernabéu. The documentary will highlight Vinicius Jr.’s meteoric rise, including his pivotal role in Real Madrid’s recent La Liga and Champions League triumphs.

The film is also expected to touch on key moments from his career, including the 2024 Ballon d’Or controversy that saw the award go to Manchester City’s Rodri, a decision that prompted Vinicius and Real Madrid to boycott the ceremony. Beyond the headlines, the documentary will offer a personal glimpse into the forward’s life, showcasing his dedication, challenges, and achievements on and off the pitch. Fans will be eager to see how Vinicius aims to add to his legacy as Los Blancos chase more silverware this season, with their next match against Leganés this weekend.
