Drake has canceled his sold-out show scheduled for July 28 at Manchester’s Co-Op Arena, citing travel complications. The Canadian rapper, affectionately known as the “6 God,” had already performed two dates in the city, leaving fans puzzled by the sudden change. A statement from the venue attributed the postponement to “unforeseen ferry schedule and travel logistics,” assuring fans that the show has been rescheduled for August 5. Tickets purchased for the original date will remain valid for the new performance, which the venue promises will be “an unforgettable night.”
The delay comes amid an eventful UK tour for Drake, who recently honored Birmingham rock icon Ozzy Osbourne during his time in the city. The “Which One” rapper paid tribute by attending a local memorial and toasting the late rocker with tequila. On stage, he walked out to Black Sabbath’s “Iron Man,” telling the crowd, “Rest in peace to the legendary Ozzy Osbourne.” Drake’s latest single, “Which One,” features UK artist Central Cee and continues his exploration of Afrobeats and dancehall sounds. The track has been generating buzz, especially after a snippet was previewed during his recent Wireless Festival headline set.

Afrobeats megastar Davido delivered a memorable performance on July 26. He headlined a sold-out concert at the iconic 19,800-capacity Scotiabank Arena in Toronto. The night featured energetic performances of his biggest hits, including the crowd-favorite “With You.” Omah Lay take the stage as a surprise guest alongside Popcaan and Mayorkun.
Davido’s headline performance follows the release of his fifth studio album, 5ive, a project that’s been gaining global attention. The concert also featured strong opening acts, with OdumoduBlvck, Victony, and rising singer Moravvey electrifying the crowd. University of Colorado Buffaloes head football coach Deion “Coach Prime” Sanders revealed on Monday that he was diagnosed with high-risk bladder cancer earlier this year. This marks the first public disclosure of his condition. Appearing alongside his medical team from CU Anschutz and UCHealth, Sanders confirmed that he is now considered cancer-free after undergoing surgery to remove his bladder. Dr. Janet Kukreja of the CU Cancer Center shared that the tumor had invaded the bladder wall but not the muscle layer. This condition classified as high-risk, non-muscle invasive bladder cancer. Sanders underwent a complex robotic surgery in which a new bladder was constructed from part of his intestine.
At the news conference, Sanders appeared emotional yet upbeat, dressed in overalls, a cowboy hat, and his signature sunglasses. “God is good… You have no idea how good God has been for me to be here,” he said tearfully. Sanders noted that he had kept the diagnosis private, even from his team, but now hopes his journey will inspire others to take their health seriously. “There are some folks right now calling the doctors to schedule checkups… Because if it can happen to Prime, it can happen to you,” he said. Despite the health scare, Sanders confirmed he will remain in his role as head coach and is expected to return to public appearances soon, including the August relaunch of Coach Prime’s Playbook on CBS Colorado.

Nigeria’s Super Falcons delivered a dramatic comeback on Saturday to secure a thrilling 3–2 victory over Morocco in the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations. Morocco appeared to be in control early in the match, with Ghizlane Chebbak striking in the 12th minute and Sanaâ Mssoudy adding a second in the 24th. However, a spirited second-half performance from the Nigerians turned the tide in remarkable fashion.
Esther Okoronkwo sparked the revival with a penalty in the 64th minute, followed by an equalizer from Folashade Florence Ijamilusi just seven minutes later. With the momentum fully in Nigeria’s favor, Jennifer Echegini sealed the comeback with a dramatic 88th-minute winner. The Super Falcons edged the match statistically as well, registering 14 shots (five on target), 55% possession, and five corners. The game, played at a high tempo, remained clean with no cards issued, as Nigeria committed seven fouls to Morocco’s 12.
