Just like every other year, one trend or the other takes over social media and celebrities are usually the first to partake in the viral bug. For January 2020, the #SocialMediaChallenge or #SocialChallenge has been trending in the last two days and if you’re wondering what we mean, we’ll give you all the scoop on it.
What is the #SocialMediaChallenge or #SocialChallenge? It all started when 74-year-old Dolly Parton posted a collage meme of herself on Instagram on the 21st of January with the caption “Get you a woman who can do it all ?.” This was then recreated by celebs like Kerry Washington and before we knew it, it went viral on social media with many other celebrities jumping on it to recreate their own version.
The challenge sees social media users create a collage of pictures representing the kind of personality they are on various social media platforms. The platforms represented include LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram and Tinder. Poor Twitter was left out and so was Snapchat!
Trust Nigerian celebrities not to dull on a good social media challenge as they have already started recreating their own versions of the #SocialMediaChallenge.
