Double The Style, Double The Fun! A Look At The Stylishly Refreshing Boho And Chic Style The DPiperTwins

Twins definitely have more fun! This is no longer a dispute as Danielle and Chantelle Dwomoh-Piper, popularly referred to as the DPiperTwins, have proven this with how much fun they have doubling up their style game. The twins are fashion models and fashion designers born to a Ghanaian father and Caribbean mother. Although born in New York, the fashion duo were raised in Ghana for nine years so Chantelle and Danielle had the chance to embrace their African roots at an early age. Now, the sisters use fashion as a way to express their cultural heritage by designing fun, simple and chic designs using African prints.

Having been born in a fashion-conscious home with a mother who could sew, it was no wonder that the DPiperTwins picked up their love for fashion at an early age and went on to study at The High School of Fashion Industries and later the prestigious Fashion Institute of Technology for their bachelor’s degree.

Highlighted as ones to watch by Jones Mag, Danielle has had editorials in Women’s Wear Daily, Fashion Manuscript, and Textile World. She has also worked alongside a number of notable fashion designers including couture designer Maggie Norris and Marchesa’s own Keren Craig and Georgina Chapman. Chantelle on the other hand has worked in the accessories showrooms of Diane Von Furstenberg, All For Seven Mankind, and Juicy Couture.

They have both appeared on a number of major television shows such as the Rachael Ray Show, NBC’s the Today Show, and an MTV commercial for Snickers. They have also graced the front cover of League Magazine, David & Young Magazine and Caribbean Life Newspaper.

The twins are suckers for Ankara and use their incredible style and influence to inspire a wide range of women across the globe. Celebrities such as Lupita Nyong’o, Ava DuVernay, Kelly Rowland, Jojo, Chrisette Michele, Angela Simmons, Miss Universe 2011 Leila Lopes and others have been spotted wearing their designs.

When it comes to their personal style, it can be described as funky, chic, boho, fun, bold, vibrant and edgy. The Dwomoh-Piper sisters sure know how to make African prints look fabulous and admirable! From high slit maxis to graphic Ankara print shirts, it’s hard not to fall in love with their fun and edgy Afrocentric style.
