Wellwishes and prayers for Moonchild Sanelly have filled social media after the artiste revealed she contracted COVID-19. The “Thunda Thighs” hitmaker was admitted to hospital for the virus and warned anyone who had been in contact with her to check their status. She has been vaccinated against the virus. Moonchild explained she was self-isolating after her trip from Malawi.
“I contracted Covid-19 during my album-making trip to Malawi. I’m glad it’s not malaria this time. When I got back I collapsed … I was told I collapsed. I just remember feeling like I would collapse,” she said. Her initial visit to the Malwai in 2019 to perform at the Lake of Stars international festival resulted in her being hospitalized with debilitating symptoms of malaria.
We wish her a speedy recovery.
4. Chris Rock faces backlash for pandering to white people in new comedy special
Chris Rock eviscerates Will Smith for ten minutes in live Netflix stand-up special: "We’ve all been cheated on — everybody in here has been cheated on — none of us have been interviewed by the person that cheated on us on television." https://t.co/FntJPhchAK #SelectiveOutrage

Chris Rock’s latest stand-up special “Selective Outrage” has been causing quite a stir on social media since it premiered on Netflix in a highly marketed live global streaming event on Sunday. The new stand-up special comes almost exactly a year after Will Smith shocked the world when he slapped Rock across the face at the Oscars. Seemingly still smarting from the incident, Rock used the new special to launch a fierce attack on Smith and his wife, Jada Pinkett-Smith. Among the 58-year-old’s most brutal jabs was his reference to Smith’s latest project, “Emancipation,” a movie in which he plays the role of an enslaved man. “I watch ‘Emancipation’ just to see him get whooped,” Rock quipped.
He also poked fun at the couple’s widely publicized issues of infidelity: “His wife was f****** her son’s friend. Now, I normally would not talk about this s***, but for some reason, these n***** put that s*** on the internet. I have no idea why two people that talented would do something that low-down.” But it was his joke about fighting in front of white people that seemed to rub people up the wrong way. “You know what my parents taught me? Don’t fight in front of white people,” he said at one point.
The comedian also mocked Meghan Markle for her racism claims in the special. Rock took a savage dig at the Duchess during the show, saying: “I was like, didn’t she hit the light-skinned lottery? Hit the light-skinned lottery and still going off complaining. Acting all dumb like she didn’t know nothing. Going on Oprah like ‘I didn’t know, I had no idea how racist they were.”

Paris Saint-Germain superstar Neymar could be out for the season as he faces surgery on an ankle ligament injury. The Brazilian’s campaign appears to be over as he faces up to four months on the sidelines, although he could return in time for the Champions League final on June 10 — should PSG make it that far in the competition.
Neymar was stretchered off during PSG’s Ligue 1 clash with Lille on February 19. The club initially announced that he hadn’t sustained a fracture, leading to optimism that a return wouldn’t be too far away. However, it was revealed on Tuesday that doctors have recommended surgery to repair ligaments in the ankle, ruling him out for an extended period of time. Neymar has now sustained four ankle injuries in four years and has only made more than 20 league appearances in a season once since 2017.
