African media mogul Mo Abudu put preppy black and white to work for a screening at the Cannes Film Festival. Her sheer black maxi dress was punctuated with a white sleeve cuff and collar for a nice contrast. If you have a business function to attend, this look is a killer move.

Never be average; always aim to do it a little better every time. That’s what fashion designer Yutee Rone did when she threw on a midi dress and said, “Catch those details.” The silky number featured pleated attachments and embellished applique on the sleeves for the oomph factor. She finished the look with an embellished headgear and blue feathered heels. When you show up for a wedding, show up in this. There’s no such thing as overdressed in the typical Naija celebrities’ dictionary. And no, you wouldn’t take attention from the bride.
