Only a few weeks ago, Lagos Fashion and Design Week held it’s first ever Autumn Winter show. The show consisted of presentations from known brands in the Nigerian fashion space like Orange Culture, Gozel Green, Lisa Folawiyo and more.
Just in case you missed the show, here are photos from Gozel Green Autumn Winter 2017 collection called “Igbo Mask”. According to the twin sibling designers Olivia Okoji and Sylvia Anekwe, Igbo Mask means so much to them because it lays emphasis on one of the Igbo cultural heritage which is the traditional masquerades.
According to the brand,
“The collection encapsulates the artistic beauty of the Igbo masquerades and also tells the story of our childhood in the eastern part of Nigeria. Every detail of each piece symbolises our colourful culture!”
