Bronzed Out Goddess Vibes Made Up Last Week’s Best Beauty Looks

beautiful-black-women-summer-makeup-looks

This past week, brown and nude was the language of beauty. Whether they were stepping out or simply chilling in, some of the most beautiful black women took to Instagram to prove that the no-makeup look is just perfect to show that you are glowing from the inside out. See summer makeup looks.

Our Instagram timeline was indeed blessed to have these black goddesses parade their bronzed out looks and in the words of Beyonce, ‘the melanin drip is skin deep’.

We’re kicking off this week’s beauty chronicles with our cover girl Andreia Gibau. The beauty queen who took the Miss New York, USA crown earlier this year has regularly shown us that the crown is well deserved. With natural mauve colored lips and her bob cut hair blown about her face, she definitely blew us away. Beautiful Black Women

BBNaija’s Venita Akpofure took her natural look to a sculpted dimension. Her bold brown matte lippie carved her lips to perfection while her winged eyeliner further served to elongate her eyes. The touch of shimmer over her lids was just the right amount of glamour to go with that face. What’s not to love?

Last week, it was also all about the eyes for our fave influencers. First, popular YouTuber Nyma Tang gave us her take on the foxed eye trend on a bronzed out face. Her braided ponytail pulled taut to accentuate her beautiful face. While London-based beauty influencer, Raven Navera served us white liner on her bottom lid giving her eyes an ephemeral look. We sure love to see black goddesses.

Can we just discuss how ponytails and updos are such a contemporary classy look, especially with braids? Popular boss chick Karla Tobie gave us a cool braided updo inspiration with her knotless braids and blinged hair pins. Top Nollywood actress, Dakore Egbuson-Akande and our favorite CEO, Bella Disu convinced us even more on the classic simplicity and sheer elegance of the ponytail look. I think we will be seeing more of the ponytail look this Summer.

Hollywood star, Tracee Ellis Ross, who’s never been afraid to try bold beauty looks, is capping off last week’s beauty diaries with her Bantu knots and SKIN! Tracee’s skin care routine is something we’re all looking at with envy because her glow is definitely internal and the drip, eternal.

Check out the best hair and makeup looks from last week…

JBN Portrait 2020. As a little girl growing up in Lagos, I remember seeing large blue concrete squares perched on roadsides, with ‘B’ written on them in white. These concrete squares resonated with me because they represented my first initial and my favorite color, blue. Easily one of the most identifiable brands, I soon learnt that those squares signified the work (or efforts) of the construction company, Julius Berger. As the years went by, quality and excellence became attributes synonymous with this company. I would hear statements like “Only JB can do that” and “If you want the best, go to JB”. As JBN celebrates 50 years today, I am filled with an overwhelming sense of pride to serve on the board of this iconic organization.
