Arise Fashion Week 2019: Wuman Brand Evokes The Art Lover In Us All

Day two (April 20) of Arise Fashion week saw Wuman Brand evoke the art lover in us or was it the need to appreciate art more through our choice of outfits? Either one, something artsy did awake in me.

The idea of wearable art became a thing a few years back and ever since many fashion designers have found unique ways to create a way for the general public to subscribe to the trend and we can say Wuman did that with their latest collection as seen at Arise fashion week.


The frame of mind of many millennials is to appreciate the beauty in everything. Many have unsubscribed to the unbending rules, creating new guides that would allow them to be as expressive as possible. Wuman Brand is certainly for the contemporary millennial who is finding new fashion forms that would describe the artistic nature of their lives. You could say Wuman is following the art revolution with this collection.

The collection demonstrates and represents things that evoke strong emotions; the dress with lines twisted to form the silhouette of a woman, the sheer blouses, the skirts and blouses with facial expressions, the patterns twisted to form terrains all have us entrenched in a sort of nostalgic moment.

We also enjoyed the female-minded approach on the feminine pieces at a time when everyone is into gender-neutral collections. For the men, just like the female, their combinations were indeed based on their masculinity, drawing the type of mood that would very much get you in touch with your artistic passions and also make you feel very good in your own frame.
