From having a male model in a dress to having celebrities like Toke Makinwa, DJ Spinall, Toni Tones, Rema, BB Naija Pepper Dem’s Ike Onyema and Mike Edwards wife, Perri Shakes-Drayton walk the runway, the first day of the runway shows at the ongoing 2019 Heineken Lagos Fashion Week was lit with stunning designs.

Eki Silk showcased its signature soft silks and ethereal chiffons in designs that were effortless and fluid. Angolan born designer Ilse Naolila showcased the brand’s SS20 collection tagged “Beauty, Eye of the Beholder.” The black and white collection focused on minimalistic yet chic clothing. Orange Culture continued to blur gender lines with the looks they sent down the runway but it was Studio 189 who put a bold stamp on the future of cross dressing.
