The grandeur of formal events can be magical. Although, more often than not, the most exciting fashion shows up when people don’t have to live by dress codes. As the world’s most stylish Black male celebrities and influencers descended on the global streets last week, they did so in looks that spoke to fashion’s many forms.
At the Samsung Galaxy Unpacking event, smart tailoring made its mark with Ebuka Obi-Uchendu arriving at the venue in a golden diamond-shape print David Wej blazer and dress pants. The media personality managed to set the tone for evening formal wear for all who followed. Finally, he finished off the look in a pair of black shoes and aviator sunglasses. Over in the US, Derek Blank literally took fashion to heights in a simple, yet stylish black and white ensemble. The blazer, which had a fun sporty side to it, boasted subtle white details on the collar and sleeves as well as two rows of six buttons and a zip. Similarly, the black trousers he paired with the blazer had subtle lines of white details.
