Nigerian music sensation Wizkid has announced his new album, ‘Morayo’ while declaring his independence from the Afrobeats genre. The multi-award-winning artist recently took to Instagram to share his latest project: the ‘Morayo’ album, a heartfelt tribute to his late mother, Jane Dolapo Balogun, who passed away in August 2023.
Wizkid has stated that his sixth studio album will be a departure from the familiar Afrobeats sound. He even went further to challenge music fans to “remove him from their playlist” if they expected the same Afrobeats sound that helped shape his career.
In several Instastory posts, Wizkid made his position clear: he is not an Afrobeats artist. The genre that once defined him no longer fits. “Album name: ‘Morayo’—the best I ever made,” he stated. “Don’t call me an Afrobeats artiste. I’m not Afro anything.”

British model Cara Delevingne’s multi-million dollar Los Angeles home was destroyed after it caught fire on Friday (15 March) morning. The fire is reported to have erupted around 4 am local time. It took nearly 100 firefighters from the Los Angeles Fire Department to put out the blaze.
“There was a very long driveway, where they found a large two-story, single-family home that had fire and smoke showing from the rear,” LAFD’s Capt Adam VanGerpen said in a statement. “This got up into the attic and spread throughout the majority of the home. So the home has a lot of excessive damage.”
Hours later, Delevinge – who has been in London performing as Sally Bowles in the West End revival of Cabaret, posted about the incident on her Instagram Story. “My heart is broken today… I cannot believe it. Life can change in a blink of an eye. So cherish what you have,” the 31-year-old Paper Towns actor wrote, alongside a picture of her two cats.
Firefighters had initially said Delevingne’s two cats may have died in the fire, but the Only Murders in the Building alum later confirmed that they “are alive”. A house sitter, who was inside at the time, is reported to have sustained minor injuries and was taken to the hospital for treatment. The cause of the house fire is unknown, but it is currently under investigation.

Dr. Dre is getting candid about his health after experiencing a brain aneurysm more than three years ago. The rapper appeared on the March 14 episode of SiriusXM’s “This Life of Mine with James Corden” and opened up about the health issues he’s faced in recent years, including a brain aneurysm in January 2021 and “three strokes” afterward.
Dre recalled the moments leading up to his aneurysm, telling Corden, “I just woke up and I felt something right behind my right ear, and I almost felt like the worst pain I ever felt, and I got up and I went on about my day and I thought that I could just lay down and take a nap.”
However, a friend of his son’s insisted that they take him to the hospital instead. “Next thing you know, I’m blacking out. I’m in and out of consciousness and I ended up in the ICU,” he explained. “I was there for two weeks.”
Dre said he experienced three strokes during his stint in the ICU at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. The rapper further stated that at the time he “had no idea” he had high blood pressure because he exercised and did “everything I can to keep myself healthy.”

With the season hanging in the balance, Erik ten Hag’s team produced one of the most important wins of his tenure, beating Liverpool 4-3 after extra time in a thrilling FA Cup quarterfinal match on Sunday.
With nearly the last kick of the match, substitute Amad Diallo sent Old Trafford into raptures, ended Liverpool’s bid for a quadruple of trophies, and fired United into the semifinals. “Listen to the noise, you can tell what a big game it is,” said Marcus Rashford, who missed a golden chance to win it at the end of regulation but leveled for 3-3 in extra time. “I had to score that chance at the end … but we got the job done and we have to get something out of this season.”
Ten Hag has faced mounting speculation about his position in the face of a troubled campaign and restructuring at the club. The FA Cup represents his last chance at silverware this season, while Champions League qualification is in doubt with United sixth in the Premier League.
