Now the TDE songstress is set to add yet another prestigious title to her collection, as she has been named Variety’s 2023 Hitmaker of the Year. The “Kill Bill” singer is among the first honorees for the publication’s seventh annual Hitmakers celebration, which is set to occur in early December. Other recipients include Metro Boomin, Olivia Rodrigo, Billie Eilish, and more.
Variety’s executive music editor Jem Aswad praised SZA’s award-winning album in a statement, noting, “SZA, her SOS album and tour, and her hits this year are not only a creative and commercial triumph but one with a reach that stretches far beyond the music world.” He added, “We are so proud to honor her as our Hitmaker of the Year and to honor Olivia Rodrigo, Metro Boomin, Maren Morris, and more.”

Nigerian superstar Burna Boy has added another remarkable achievement to his illustrious career as his 2022 hit single, “Last Last,” became certified Diamond in France. According to Chart Data, the unofficial song of the summer of 2022 has been certified diamond in France by the French music trade body, the National Syndicate of Phonographic Publishing (SNEP), which tracks music sales in the European country.
In January, the single sold over 1 million units in the U.S., making the track eligible for platinum certification in the country. Burna Boy took to Twitter to celebrate this milestone. “Last Last” held a prominent position as one of the leading tracks on Burna Boy’s sixth album, “Love, Damini,” which he released in 2022.

Tyla has been nominated for the Soul Train Awards 2023. The nominees’ list announced on Thursday revealed the singer was nominated in the Best New Artist category with Ambré, Ayra Starr, Coco Jones, Doechii, Flo, Fridayy, and Wanmor. The awards recognize the best in soul, R&B, and hip hop from established artists and the next generation of promising artists. The nominees are selected by a voting academy of music industry insiders, performers, and presenters. The awards ceremony is to take place in Los Angeles, California, and will premiere on November 26 at 8 pm ET/PT on BET and BET Her.

As anticipation mounts for the release of Nicki Minaj’s “Pink Friday 2,” the rap icon took a firm stand on the behavior of her avid fanbase on Sunday, November 5. Addressing her followers, the musician made a public appeal for decorum and nonviolence. Minaj’s Instagram Story read, “Dear Barbz, be sure to never threaten anyone on my behalf. Whether on the internet or in person. Whether in jest or not. I don’t [and] never have condoned that.”
She then turned her attention to her upcoming LP, which is slated to drop on her 41st birthday. The rapper wrote, “We have an amazing album right around the corner, Dec. 8. It feels so surreal [and] euphoric. Wishing you blessings on blessings.”
5. Real Madrid extends Eduardo Camavinga’s contract until 2029

Real Madrid have agreed a new deal with Eduardo Camavinga to keep the France midfielder at the club until 2029. The 20-year-old, who joined the La Liga giants from Rennes at the age of 18 in August 2021, is reported to have agreed to a release clause of one billion euros.
Camavinga has made 114 appearances for Real, starting eight of the club’s 12 league games so far this season. He won six trophies in his first two seasons in Spain, including the Champions League in 2021–22. Team-mates Rodrygo and Vinicius Junior have also recently committed to new long-term contracts at Real Madrid.
