Award-winning media personality and actress, Zainab Balogun is currently at the 42nd annual Toronto Film Festival for the premiere of her first feature film as a lead actress ‘The Royal Hibiscus Hotel‘. The movie was directed by the talented Ishaya Bako and executive produced by Mo Abudu. It tells the story of an aspiring restaurateur ‘Ope’, played by Zainab Balogun, working in London who returns back to her home country, Nigeria to inherit her family’s little hotel. It also covers the budding romance between Ope and Deji, played by Kenneth Okolie, a charming and successful entrepreneur with a devilish intent that could jeopardize their romance and the future of the Royal Hibiscus Hotel.
The 27-year old actress brought her A-style-game with her as she continues to make a subtle yet pronounced statement with every outfit. For one of the world’s most famous film festival, this Style Raven proved yet again that she has seamlessly mastered the art of looking effortlessly stylish.
For her first red carpet debut, she rocked an orange dress by Nigerian fashion house Adey Soile paired with a pair of gold strappy sandals and gold accessories for the Loreal’s Women of Worth event. The following day, for the premiere of The Royal Hibiscus Hotel Movie, she wore another dress by Nigerian fashion designer, Andrea Iyamah. She also wore outfits by Eponymous Nigerian women brand, Lanre Da Silva Ajayi, and Nkwo. Zainab is definitely out to make a style statement as she keeps shutting down TIFF 2017 with her impeccable style and signature low haircut.
