Great style is about filling a gap: figuring out how to put your outfit together in a way that others would be inspired by. It is also about functionality, which is an important aspect of fashion that is sometimes overlooked.
Many celebrities have great style and we find ourselves wondering – how do they do it? How do they manage? Nigeria’s biggest celebrities and influencers always step out in outfits that amplify the meaning of the term fashionable and this past weekend was no different as celebrity dresses reigned supreme.
Here’s a look at how celebrity dresses made the biggest difference this past weekend…
TV girl Zainab Balogun stepped out in a piece that says business at the top party at the bottom. The look is very preppy but has that spark that makes it work as both formal and informal wear.
Ex-beauty queen Agbani Darego stepped out in a white lace dress with an edgy side, literally. Her choice of accessories kept the entire look neutral and sophisticated. You will never go back to boring white lace dresses.
Tan is such a fun colour especially when it is shiny or shimmery. OAP and boss chick Toke Makinwa stepped out in a tan two-piece skirt and blouse set from Wani Fuga that is perfect to wear on a dinner date.
Actress Linda Osifo wants you to ditch those boring dresses. The star stepped out in a May_27couture dress that you can dress up for work and dress down for after-hours.
Lilian Afegbai stepped out in a set that strikes the right balance between classic and put together. The look also has dual functionality, it can be a fun formal outfit or a casual look all it takes is a switch of shoes.
Vandora is serving fierce. Red would always be a fun and daring colour and this look is classy, trendy and sexy all at the same time.
Mimi Yina stepped out this weekend in a fun non-preppy look and we just can’t get enough of her dress that screams “ditch all your boring dresses now.”
Neon is in and as we know Annie Idibia ‘Mama di Mama’ doesn’t carry last when it comes down to her looks. This weekend she pulled off a mature version of the neon monochrome look and we love!
There’s nothing over the top about Jemima Osunde’s outfit and that’s where its beauty lies. Her look is easy to throw on but it still gives you that classy finish which makes it a winner.
