Bee’s House of Esthetics LLC, Savannah, Georgia

Exploring the exciting world of wax, our journey led us to an enlightening discussion with the talented @beeshouseofesthetics, who shed light on why the brand has been all the rave. According to her, in the world of Brazilian waxes, Wax Wax’s stardust formula has been found to be the game changer.

Ivana’s Beauty Garden, Stockbridge, Georgia

Ivana’s Beauty Garden’s staff love pink, so it’s no surprise that Wax Wax’s Hypoallergenic Pink Pearl formula is their preference. They love that it’s versatile enough for sensitive areas and a variety of clients. Plus, they are thrilled to find an alternative to the traditional blue wax. Wax Wax is their new go-to!

Wax Appeal, Hawaii

This popular TikTok waxing expert is fond of trying new waxes, and Wax Wax’s Pink Pearl version is her latest discovery. Although it isn’t fast-drying, she has chosen it to be her Brazilian wax of choice. Plus, the way it handles coarse and fine hairs is an added advantage.

She shared, “Hello! Let me tell you about my recent waxing adventures. Wax Wax’s Pink Wax is something I’ve really been enjoying lately. It’s not as quick to dry as I first thought, but has proved to be an excellent option for Brazilian waxes. It is also great for delicate skin and can effectively remove both coarse and small hairs. Although dealing with fine hairs is a difficult task, I have to say that this wax takes care of them with finesse!”

Check out effective tips to transform your waxing session…

#1. The optimal hard-wax temperature: finding the ideal level

The temperature of hard wax during waxing is very important. The wax type you are using will determine the temperature. For instance, in the case of Wax Wax, it is most effective when heated to around 70–75 degrees Celsius. This ideal temperature makes it easy to remove unwanted hair.

It is best to always verify what the manufacturer recommends for the wax temperature. They will give you the exact temperature so you can achieve excellent results while keeping clients comfortable and safe.

#2. Know the best hair removal wax for you

Before you proceed to remove the hair, it’s necessary to select your preferred wax:  hard and soft wax.

  • Hard Wax: This product is well-known for its strong grip and application. It is perfect for small areas with sensitive skin. It reduces pain and inflammation because it only sticks to the hair.
  • Soft Wax: This is applied very thinly. The strips are used to remove the hair quickly. It is perfect for large areas of hair or finer to medium hair. Be ready as it can be painful and leave a small amount of residue.

Now, let’s break them down even further:

AspectHard WaxSoft Wax
Application MethodApply a thick layer and leave to cool and set before removing.Spread thinly and swiftly remove it using a cloth or paper strip.
Ideal forBest for coarse, short hair, small areas, and sensitive skin.Ideal for larger areas, fine to medium hair, and less sensitive skin.
Pain LevelIt might be less painful as it adheres to only hair.Might be more painful as it adheres to both hair and skin.
TemperatureHeated to a higher temperature and hardens as it cools.Heated at a lower temperature, stays flexible.
Clean-upThere is less chance of mess as it’s easy to clean up.Needs strips to remove and may leave behind some residue.
Ingrown HairsThere is less chance of ingrown hairs as it ahers to the hairs, hardens, and removes completely. This could raise the risk of ingrown hairs by potentially breaking hair.
Redness/IrritationIt doesn’t lead to less redness and irritation. It could result in more redness and irritation, especially for sensitive skin.
Application SpeedApplication takes longer due to cooling.Quick application over larger areas.
ReapplicationUsually doesn’t need to be reapplied in the same spot.Might require reapplying on the same area to remove any leftover hair.

Which do you prefer: hard waxes for precision and less discomfort, or soft waxes for speed and greater coverage? It’s up to you but your choice should reflect the hair texture and level of comfort during your waxing sessions.

A post shared by Wax Wax ⭒ Hard Wax & Wax Warmers for Estheticians (@trywaxwax)

The base ingredient for hard wax beads is rosin, a translucent amber substance that results after resins from pine trees and coniferous plants have been processed. Hard wax is named after its ability to harden over hair follicles without adhering to the skin as it cools for less painful waxing.

#1. Ingredients & Hypoallergenic Formulations

Hard wax beads have different shades that indicate their formulation. Certain shades can be formulated to meet the needs of clients with sensitive, hypoallergenic skin. These formulas tend to be free of common allergens.

#2. Elasticity & Performance

Colors of hard wax beads do more than simply look nice. The beads could also have glitter or dyes. These additives influence how the wax performs, both when you apply and remove it. For instance, if you use wax with glitter, it might be less elastic, so it is perfect for certain types of hair or specific areas.

#3. Unique Formulas

Each color has its own power. Some can handle coarse hair, while others can deal with fine, stubborn strands. As an esthetician, your job is to explore and test for the perfect match for your clients.

This is your guide to hard wax professionalism

Are you eager to discover the benefits of hard wax hair remover? It’s very simple if you follow the right steps. Get started with this guide for smooth skin:

What you’ll need:

  • Hard wax beads
  • Wax warmer
  • Spatula
  • Pre-wax cleansing
  • After-wax lubricant or lotion
  • Waxing strip (optional).

Step 1: Prepare Your Surface

  • Start by cleansing and drying the skin.
  • If needed, cut your hair into a quarter-inch length. Longer strands will be more difficult for you to remove.

Step 2: Warm It Up

  • Fill the Hard Wax Bead Warmer with as many hard wax beads as you require.
  • The manufacturer will tell you what temperature to heat it to. The wax will melt like honey—thick and luxurious.

Step 3: Check The Temperature

  • Test the heat before you start.
  • Use a tiny amount of wax to test the temperature.

Step 4: Apply The Wax

  • Use a spatula and spread a layer of warm wax along the direction in which the hair grows.
  • A slightly thicker edge is best for grip.
  • Wait until the wax cools down and hardens.

Step 5: Remove

  • Try to squeeze the skin tightly with only one hand.
  • Grab the edge of the hardened wax using your other hand.
  • If you want the best result, remove it in the opposite direction of the hair growth.
  • Pro tip: don’t pull up. It’s painful and not as effective.

Step 6: Repeat For Success

  • Continue to wax the sections.
  • It is okay to reheat the wax while you are working, but not too much.

Step 7: Clean And Comfort

  • To remove any wax residue, apply a pre-wax cleanser once you are done.
  • To soothe the skin and prevent ingrown hairs, apply an ample amount of after-wax oil or lotion.

Step 8: After Waxing: Take Care Of Your Skin

  • For at least one day after waxing, do not use hot baths, sunlamps, or saunas.
  • Keep the waxed area exfoliated to avoid ingrown hairs.
  • Mastering hard waxing will take practice, so be patient.

A final word

Wax Wax is one of the rising stars in the beauty industry. Its stardust-based formula has created a buzz for Brazilian waxing. Ivana’s Beauty Garden of Georgia, as well as the Jade Boots of Wax Appeal Hawaii, adores Wax Wax’s pink-pearl formula, most notably because it works well on sensitive skin. But beyond Wax Wax, Bella Verde Wax Beans (also known as Bella Verde Wax Beans), Sliick Hard Wax (also known as Allongs Hard Wax), and Gigi Brazilian Hard Wax are also popular choices of many estheticians.

Finally, when getting the waxing done, start by choosing between soft and hard wax, which should depend on the type of hair. If you opt for hard beads, don’t forget to heat hard wax precisely between 70 and 75 °C. Also, keep in mind that the colors of hard beads denote different formulas.
