A post shared by Terrence J (@terrencej)

On Sunday, December 3, former “106 & Park” host and actor Terrence J got engaged to his girlfriend, Mikalah Sultan. The media-personality-turned-actor reposted a photo of him and the model kissing onto his Instagram story that was originally shared by a user, which appears to be the happy moment after the bride-to-be said “yes.” He also reshared another post commemorating their engagement from La La Anthony.

“Congratulations to my brother @terrencej & @mikalahstyles on their engagement,” Lala said in the caption of the post. “SOOO HAPPY FOR THEM.” In the post, the couple is decked out in all black while sitting on a white couch. As Sultan shows off her new rock while holding a red stem rose in one hand, J. flashes a bright smile from ear to ear.

2. Tems announces next single ‘Not An Angel’

Following the release of “Me & U” in October, Tems announced on Tuesday, December 5, that she has a new song, “Not An Angel,” coming on Friday, December 8. On social media, Tems shared what is presumably the single’s cover art, a blurry photo of what appears to be Tems in a squatting position. The post indicates the song is set for release this Friday, December 8. Tems has yet to release a full-length album, but perhaps her two year-ending singles are signs that one is finally on the way.

3. South Africa: Tyla announces 2024 world tour dates

On Tuesday, December 5, Tyla announced a world tour in support of her forthcoming debut album. The international run starts with several European stops in March 2024 and will make its way to North America in May. “Album drops top of the year and I’m coming to your city!” the South African talent confirmed in a post shared on social media.

Back in July, Tyla made huge waves with the breakthrough single “Water,” an amapiano-inspired effort that quickly spawned a viral TikTok dance. The Sammy Soso-produced song landed on several charts around the globe and earned a No. 1 placement in countries like New Zealand, the United Kingdom, and her hometown. In the United States, “Water” peaked within the top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100.

4. David Guetta reveals how the US music industry sees Ayra Star

Grammy-award-winning producer David Guetta, in a recent interview with Cool FM, opened up about how the music industry in the US and UK sees Ayra Starr. The multi-platinum-selling producer, who recently worked with the Mavin princess on his new song “F U,” revealed in the interview how Ayra Starr is being perceived in the music industry in the West today. David Guetta stated that the music industry in Los Angeles and London views Ayra Starr as the new Rihanna because of the uniqueness she possesses as an artist today.

He went on to add that Ayra possesses a uniqueness that is peculiar to only her and makes it easy for her to cross over as an artist into different cultures. He went on to add that it is more than just talent, as when they worked together in the studio, he got to witness how much potential she has as an artist and also see that she can go very far.

5. Jurgen Klopp provides worrying Joel Matip update after defender forced off during Fulham victory

Jurgen Klopp confirmed the bad news for Liverpool: defender Joel Matip will be out for a long time after sustaining a knee injury. The center-back was taken off in the second half of his side’s 4-3 win against Fulham with an apparent injury. Klopp said after the game that the injury looked bad and confirmed again on Tuesday that the defender’s condition does not have a positive outlook.

Klopp told reporters: “I don’t know exactly [how long he will be out] but it doesn’t look good, that’s something we can say. The scan is not done yet so we don’t know exactly but it is not great. From the first minute, it was clear. I spoke to him and said: ‘Ah no, that is not good’. But how long [he will be injured for], we don’t know.” The loss of Matip comes as a big blow to the Reds, who are already without the likes of Alisson, Diogo Jota, Thiago Alcantara, Stefan Bajcetic, and Andy Robertson.
