To kick off its annual Sexiest Man Alive issue, People Magazine announced its nominees for 2023’s list. The publication revealed Michael B. Jordan as one of the nominees, and he made the cut for his work on Creed III. He is competing against Keanu Reeves, Chris Hemsworth, and Cillian Murphy. Future is also in the running for the sexiest musician. That category also contains Harry Styles, Tim McGraw, and Bad Bunny.
Other Black men who made the list include Quincy Isaiah, for the sexiest TV star for Winning Time as he portrays retired Los Angeles Lakers star Magic Johnson. British race car driver Lewis Hamilton is vying for the title of sexiest athlete. Dam Gabriel, host of the Dom Meets World podcast, is rivaling for the title of sexiest podcast host, while former The Daily Show host Trevor Noah is battling for the title of sexiest funny guy.

Grammy-winning Nigerian singer Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, aka Wizkid, has made his first public appearance since the demise of his mother, Mrs. Jane Dolapo Balogun. Mrs. Balogun died last month in Lagos State. Since the incident, Wizkid has remained out of the public spotlight and off social media. However, the Starboy boss has now made his first public appearance after almost a month of hibernation, mourning the death of his mom. According to photos circulating on the internet, Wizkid was pictured at The V&A in London, United Kingdom, attending the private view of Gabrielle Chanel Fashion Manifesto on Wednesday, September 13.

A year and a half after his purchase of the storied rap label Death Row Records, Snoop Dogg has announced the signing of the label’s first African act in its 32-year history. The “Drop It Like It’s Hot” star took to Instagram to not only announce that he’d signed South African rapper Phonixthecool to the label, but that he would also be launching Death Row Africa. “Death Row Africa. Comin soon @phonixthecool @deathrowrecords,” shared the 51-year-old.
Phonixthecool took to his Instagram page to share his excitement at the new deal: “I always keep faith and allow God to lead my journey and he continues to answer my most biggest prayers, no matter how far fetched they look, no matter how far across the world I am, he’s proving it’s possible to dream and achieve at the highest level.” He also added, “Every day is very difficult. But faith, persistence, and hard work will always be rewarded. Super Excited for what’s about to come! @deathrowrecords @snoopdogg.”

Giannis Antetokounmpo is thrilled about becoming a husband. On Monday, September 11, while spreading the word on his advocacy for Milwaukee’s Diaper Mission, the Bucks power forward hinted that he and his girlfriend, Mariah Riddlesprigger will be walking down the aisle in the future. “Soon [I’m going] to be married to this beautiful woman next to me,” he said during a press conference. While he was speaking, his soon-to-be wife blushed. She could also be seen wearing a ring that appears to mark their engagement.
The couple are parents to two adorable sons, Liam Charles, 3, and Maverick Shai, 2, and soon their family will expand to a party of 5. According to reports, the proud parents also shared that they were expecting baby number three earlier this year.

Kyle Walker has signed a new contract with Manchester City until 2026, after turning down the chance to move to Bayern Munich. Walker’s place at the club became uncertain when he drifted out of the team for a brief period last season, and Pep Guardiola said in a press conference that he was not capable of playing in the team’s new style of play as an inverted full-back. However, Walker played his way back into the team and was a crucial part of the run to the treble. He has been the club’s captain since Kevin De Bruyne sustained an injury in the first game of the new season. City return to action against West Ham on Saturday, and Walker will hope to be involved.
