A fashion and culture enthusiast who's really a food loving…
Gert-Johan Coetzee’s presented his latest SS18 collection at the just concluded Spring Summer 2018 South African Fashion Week. Alongside the high-glamour red-carpet showstoppers the designer is best known for, he sent glam casual wear down the ramp as the collection features a range of edgy street wear inspired by global food chain McDonald’s.
The designer is respected for using the powerful voice of fashion to focus attention on social issues with every collection that he shows and this collection was no different. According to Gert-Johan Coetzee, all the proceeds of the exclusive range will go to the Ronald McDonald House Charities, which provide a safe home, comfort and care to families of children receiving specialised hospital treatment. This exclusive collection will be the first Gert range to have items available for men and also paid homage to the late Winnie Mandela.

The new Gert and McDonald’s South Africa range will be available on their new online store from the 1st week of May.
