Sometimes you think you’ve got it covered for the weekend, then the weekend comes and you find out that you’re stuck again. You’re at a loss as to what to wear for that dinner date or for the girls’ night out especially when the decision to go out in the first place was rushed. There are several pieces in your closet but picking out the right one becomes difficult.
Well… basics don’t have to be basic. They can do day and night with simple accessory swaps + a general rule that has to do with wearing flats during the day and heels at night. Learning to style your outfits up and down is like a secret weapon. And it’s surprisingly easy to master.
A look at some basic outfits that can be used to score the night
The wrap skirt
If you have a wrap skirt, you can go ahead to pair it with your chiffon skirt, this look would give you an edge if you can’t find any nighttime piece for the first date.
The Palazzo
If you don’t have a wrap skirt, what about a high waist palazzo trouser and a crop top? This is an excellent pick if you are hanging out with your girls.
Culottes
Okay then, no 90s’ style palazzo but you have a semblance of a culotte or a culotte? Then rock it with a tank top and cool accessories for that dinner appearance.
Get the boots out!
Those thigh-high suede boots can give you an edgier look; rock them with an over-lay denim style.

Jersey dresses
Usually we throw on our jersey dresses when we need something comfortable to walk around it, however, you could switch up your jersey dress into a nighttime sensation; all you need are the right accessories.

Crop tops

Going to the club? Then your crop top and a pair of your fave jeans will do the trick. You can finish off the look with a leather jacket.
The high-waisted jeans

If you’re going for a look that is super comfy, then you can reach for your embroidered jeans and a buttoned tee. Just tuck in your top for the glam effect!
