Nigerian Fashionistas Are Currently Obsessed With Kim Kardashian’s Half-Up Ponytail Look

There is something about wearing your hair up that gives you a seriously elegant yet totally cool look. The ponytail hairstyle is one that never goes out of style. However, instead of sticking to the age-old ponytail, Hollywood It-girls have been known to prefer rocking the half-up ponytail in recent times.

With the half-up ponytail, currently one of the hottest hairstyles of Summer 2019, not all of your hair is secured by a hairband – just a section of the front portion. The half-up ponytail takes less effort but requires more precision than a full updo. It is a way to draw attention to your face and, at the same time, show off some beautiful flowing mane or weave. Celebrities like Kim Kardashian West understand this and have been spotted wearing this look a number of times.

As with every fashion and beauty trend, it takes little or no time at all for others to join in, so it came as no surprise that Nigerian celebrities like Toke Makinwa and appearsisien, who are particularly big fans of everything Kim Kardashian, have jumped in on the look.

Any hair enthusiast knows that a chic hairstyle is one that takes a certain level of skill to master but never appear that way. That is why celebrity stylist Chris Appleton, the man behind the hairstyles of celebrities like Kim Kardashian and Ariana Grande took time to show you how to achieve the half-up ponytail with ease.
