Megan Thee Stallion’s love life is at the center of fresh speculation after she was spotted cozying up to Belgian soccer star Romelu Lukaku at the wedding of one of his teammates. In a viral video circulating social media, the pair could be seen sitting next to each other as they celebrated Lautaro Martínez—Lukaku’s strike partner at Italian side Inter Milan — and his wife tie the knot at a lavish ceremony in Cernobbio, Italy on Monday, May 29.

Another clip captured Megan and Romelu chatting to each other in private while overlooking the spectacular view of Lake Como, further fueling the rumors of a budding romance. While it’s unclear if Megan actually attended the wedding as Lukaku’s date, it’s worth pointing out that they are both repped by Jay-Z’s Roc Nation.

2. Billboard chart: Rema closes on South African legend, Masekela’s record after surpassing Wizkid

Nigerian sensational Afrobeats star Divine Ikubor, aka Rema, is edging closer to equaling late South African music legend Hugh Masekela’s record for the highest-charting African song on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart. The remix version of his hit song “Calm Down,” which featured American singer Selena Gomez, hit a new peak at Number 4 on this week’s Hot 100 chart, which is a Nigerian record. With this feat, Rema now has the second-highest charting song on the Hot 100 by an African artiste in history.

Rema earlier surpassed Wizkid’s record as the highest charting Nigerian lead artiste in Billboard Hot 100 history after “Calm Down” surpassed “Essence” which peaked at number 9 last year. “Calm Down” is projected to hit a new peak next week. Wizkid and Tems have reached number one on the Hot 100 chart but as guests and not lead acts.

3. South Africa: Thando Thabethe joins Hollywood stars in sci-fi animated series

Thando Thabethe’s global career expansion is on the up and up after she scored a role in the Netflix animation series “My Dad the Bounty Hunter.” The actress’ timeline was flooded with congratulatory messages from her industry colleagues and fans after she was announced to be joining Season 2 of the sci-fi animated series.

The show, which has featured in the Netflix TV top 10 lists in 39 countries, follows two children as they discover that their father is the toughest bounty hunter in the galaxy when they accidentally hitch a ride into space. The second season of the show is set to debut on Netflix globally on August 17.

4. Beyoncé pays tribute to Tina Turner with a special twist during London “Renaissance Tour” stop

Since Tina Turner’s passing last week, Beyoncé has made sure to pay her respects. While on her “Renaissance World Tour,” she put her own twist on Ike & Tina Turner’s 1966 upbeat hit “River Deep – Mountain High” and performed it as a ballad. Monday night’s performance was at North London’s Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. For the “Irreplaceable” vocalist’s Paris tour stop last week, she paused her show to acknowledge the Tennessee native’s iconic legacy. “If you’re a fan of mine, you’re a fan of Tina Turner. I wouldn’t be on this stage without Tina Turner, so I want you guys to just scream, so she can feel your love. I feel so blessed that I was allowed to witness her brilliance,” she said.

In 2008, Beyoncé finally got the chance to work with Turner when the two performed “Proud Mary” together at the 50th annual Grammy Awards. Turner died on May 24 at her home in Küsnacht near Zurich, Switzerland. She was 83 years old and had been battling an illness. On the day of her death, Beyoncé penned a heartfelt tribute and shared it via social media.

5. Jude Bellingham set to withdraw from England squad amid fears knee surgery will be required on injury suffered at Borussia Dortmund

Jude Bellingham is reportedly set to withdraw from the latest England squad amid fears he will need to undergo surgery on a knee injury. Bellingham is in the form of his life and was a vital part of Borussia Dortmund taking the Bundesliga title race to the last day. However, he is set to face a spell on the sidelines after suffering an injury to his right knee. The injury in question kept him out of Dortmund’s final game of the season against Mainz, meaning he had to watch the drama unfold from the bench. The injury means that Bellingham is set to miss out on England’s two Euro 2024 qualifying matches in June, and reports say that he may require surgery in order to fully recover.

Bellingham has started the last 10 matches for the Three Lions and is becoming one of the first names on Gareth Southgate’s teamsheet, so will undoubtedly be a miss against Malta and North Macedonia. The injury is unlikely to disrupt the midfielder’s proposed move to Real Madrid, which is set to be announced in the coming weeks. The two clubs have struck a deal worth £108 million ($133m), with £87m ($107.4m) guaranteed and a further £21m ($26m) in performance-related add-ons.
