Macy’s 100th Thanksgiving Day Parade takes place on November 26. The department store has been preparing for it since summer. More than 25 brands are partnering with Macy’s to release exclusive, limited-edition products tied to the holiday and anniversary. These span fashion, beauty, home goods, collectibles, and accessories. The full assortment of over 125 pieces will launch in select stores nationwide this fall.
The first major release is already live. The Disney x Macy’s Sorcerer’s Apprentice Mickey capsule, a 30-piece collection launched on August 13 with the reveal of Disney’s new parade balloon, is available now on Macy’s website while supplies last. The full partner list for the 100th parade celebration shows the breadth of Macy’s plans this year. Apotheke, Carolina Herrera, Citizen, Clinique, Crocs, Disney, Effy, Estée Lauder, Hallmark, Jo Malone, Levi’s, Lenox, Loungefly, MacKenzie-Childs, Mario Badescu, Marvel, Michael Aram, Michael Kors, Peanuts, Pixar, Sanrio, Spirit of America, Super Smalls, Swarovski, Tarte, and Waterford are all participating.
The product range includes turkey- and Thanksgiving-themed dinnerware, hoodies, thermals, T-shirts, pumpkin spice candles, and collectibles. The assortment is wide enough that the 100th parade celebration functions as a shopping event rather than just a television viewing. Turkey- and Thanksgiving-themed items are already available on macys.com, with the full product launch rolling out in stores this fall.
Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade 100th Anniversary: The Disney Capsule

The Disney collaboration anchors Macy’s parade anniversary strategy. It launched with a reveal at D23 Day at Disneyland Resort on August 13. The new Sorcerer’s Apprentice Mickey balloon, inspired by Mickey Mouse’s iconic role in Disney’s 1940 film Fantasia, will float down the parade route in New York City on November 26 as the visual centerpiece of the 100th-anniversary march. The 30-piece capsule, launched alongside the balloon reveal, spans clothing, collectibles, home goods, and toys, all coordinated around the Sorcerer’s Apprentice imagery.

“Sorcerer’s Apprentice Mickey captures pure imagination and joy, making his debut as a balloon a standout moment for the Parade’s 100th anniversary,” said Liz Shortreed, SVP, The Americas at Disney Consumer Products. “Bringing Mickey Mouse into this iconic holiday moment adds a signature touch of Disney magic and celebrates his enduring place in fans’ lives.” Alongside Disney’s own products in the capsule, Macy’s brought in Citizen, Crocs, Hallmark, Loungefly, Super Smalls, and Swarovski to contribute coordinating pieces. The 30-item Disney drop functions as the kickoff for the larger 125-plus-piece parade anniversary assortment set to arrive in full this fall.

What to Watch for Through November

The 100th Thanksgiving Day Parade strategy follows a model Macy’s has used successfully before. The retailer used a similar approach for its 50th Fourth of July Fireworks event, capitalizing on a milestone with coordinated merchandise and marketing across multiple brand partners. The key difference at this scale is the breadth of the product range and the number of brands involved. This means the anniversary merchandise arrives across nearly every retail category Macy’s carries rather than concentrating in a single area.

For shoppers, the practical information is this: the Disney capsule is live now in limited quantities. The wider 125-plus-piece assortment launches in stores this fall. Pieces from partners including Carolina Herrera, Jo Malone, Michael Kors, Estée Lauder, and Levi’s will appear across fashion, fragrance, and beauty alongside home goods and collectibles. The parade itself is on November 26. If you want to watch Sorcerer’s Apprentice Mickey float down a New York City street for the first time on the parade’s centennial, mark that date.
