US Vice President Kamala Harris landed at Ghana’s Kotoko International Airport on Sunday for the first stop on her three-nation African tour. She was received by Ghana’s Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia amid traditional music and cheers from students, dancers, and drummers. Harris has been sent to deepen ties with the continent, amid growing competition from other global powers, especially China and Russia.
In her first remarks in the capital Accra, she highlighted her commitment to holding discussions that will foster opportunities in various sectors of the continent. She said she wants to promote economic growth and food security and welcomed the chance to “witness firsthand the extraordinary innovation and creativity that is occurring on this continent.” Harris is the highest-profile member of President Joe Biden’s administration to visit Africa this year.
2. Wizkid, 1da Banton, Tekno feature on the theme song for ‘Ted Lasso’ Season 3
Nigerian music stars Wizkid, Tekno, and 1da Banton are part of the featured artists on the third season of the popular TV show “Ted Lasso.” The Nigerian stars are joined by artistes across the world including American megastar Beyoncé, rapper Ice Cube, and the great Bob Dylan. Wizkid’s “Essence,” Tekno’s “Enjoy,” and 1da Banton’s “No Wahala” all made the 50-track album. The appearance of the Nigerian contingent is not detached from the fact that one of the main characters in the series is Nigerian.
The Apple TV comedy Ted Lasso, which stars Jason Sudeikis as the charismatic and well-intentioned Coach Lasso as he attempts to bring honor to hypothetical Premiership club AFC Richmond, has received overwhelmingly positive reviews from both viewers and critics.

A year later, I’m doing it again. Welcome to the Asylum,” she announced on social media.
Since gaining fame after a video of her dancing to Young Stunna’s “Adiwele” went viral in 2021, Uncle Waffles has been basking in success. At just nine years old, North West is following in her mom Kim Kardashian’s footsteps by launching her own skincare and toy lines. Just last year, Kardashian launched her own skincare line SKKN after founding the fashion brand Skims. According to reports, her daughter North is now following suit and launching her own skin and toy product series. Kim reportedly filed four new trademarks for her 9-year-old on March 10.
This means that fans will soon be able to purchase a wide range of cosmetics from North’s skincare series, ranging from facial and body oils to bath and shower gels, bubble baths, and hair care products. Her name could also appear in toy stores, where branded dolls, baby toys, mechanical toys, play sets with action figures, and educational toys may soon be available.
5. Antonio Conte fired by Tottenham
Club announcement.
— Tottenham Hotspur (@SpursOfficial) March 26, 2023
Antonio Conte has been sacked as manager of Tottenham following his stunning rant at owner Daniel Levy and the club’s trophy record. The Italian tactician, who was appointed as Spurs’ boss in November 2021, was due to see his contract expire this summer. The decision has been taken to part ways before the 2022-23 campaign comes to a close, with it determined that there was no way a positive working relationship in north London could continue.
An official statement released by Tottenham on Sunday reads: “We can announce that Head Coach Antonio Conte has left the Club by mutual agreement. We achieved Champions League qualification in Antonio’s first season at the Club. We thank Antonio for his contribution and wish him well for the future.” The announcement also came with a short message from Levy, who asked supporters to get behind the team as they seek to finish the campaign on a positive note.
