John Legend is set to serenade the audience and contestants at the 72nd Miss Universe pageant next month. The Miss Universe Organization (MUO) announced recently that the multi-award-winning artist would be returning to the Miss Universe stage after more than a decade. He last performed at the competition in 2010. “@JohnLegend will perform at the 72nd Annual MISS UNIVERSE Competition! The EGOT recipient, songwriter, producer, and activist will perform on stage in El Salvador on November 18th,” the organization said on Instagram.

Paula Shugart, the president of the MUO and executive producer, said: “I first met John when he performed at Miss Universe in 2010 with The Roots. Maverick singer, Ọlawale Ọlọfọrọ, popularly known as Brymo, has accused Grammy-winning musician Burna Boy of stealing his intellectual property. The “Ara” crooner alleged that Burna Boy’s “City Boys” and “I Told Them” sampled the album title track of his upcoming album, “Macabre.” He said Burna Boy committed a “crime” and should serve a jail term. On his Instagram handle, Brymo wrote, “By end of this year y’all will recollect that ‘Macabre’ wasn’t released when in the public, and as privately as it gets. ‘city boy’.. and ‘I Told You’ were fed to Burna Boy.”

“The former of the track titles I mentioned above is there to point me to the fact that the latter and his album title is the hook I sing on my album title track ‘Macabre’.. burna na really boy.. and that’s a crime.!! An actual crime…To do time for… and if una like make una resurrect legends to come complain about stolen songs… una go regret this shit to numerous degrees… shey una no dey hear word,” he finished.

On Tuesday, October 24, Nicki Minaj took to social media to announce that “Pink Friday 2” would no longer be released on November 17. She also debunked the rumor that Lil Wayne and 2 Chainz’s “Welcome 2 Collegrove,” which is set to drop on that day, was a factor in her decision. “I have changed my album date,” she stated in an Instagram livestream. “Now, it’s been changed for some time now behind the scenes. So, as you can tell, Weezy and 2 Chainz announced their date, and you know how me and Weezy play. He would never do that if that was my album date, so I wanted to make sure you guys were aware of that. ‘Cause I saw some of you guys questioning that.”

She continued by confirming when Pink Friday 2 would now be arriving. “I’ve changed my album date, and it’s for a reason that the Barbz will be in agreement with, trust me. When I tell you why I’ve changed it, you will be like, ‘You did the right thing, Nick.’ The new album date for this incredible body of work that I’m so proud of is on a very special day to me and to the Barbz,” Nicki added. “Pink Friday 2, I’m so happy to announce, will be out on my birthday, Dec. 8.”

4. Lil Wayne takes ownership in Major League Pickleball team

On Tuesday, October 24, the Austin American-Statesman reported that Lil Wayne is now an investor in the Texas Ranchers, a Major League Pickleball team. He joins the likes of The Kid LAROI, No. 1-ranked men’s golfer Scottie Scheffler, and Dallas Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons as part of the organization’s ownership. Weezy will also take on the role of the team’s strategic advisor.

“Pickleball is the moment and I’m excited to be part of the Texas Ranchers ownership group,” the New Orleans talent said. “I’ve enjoyed watching and couldn’t pass up the opportunity to join this team of owners.”

5. More injury woes for Arsenal: Gabriel Jesus forced off match against Sevilla

Arsenal were dealt a new injury concern when Gabriel Jesus was forced off late on in their 2-1 win against Sevilla in the Champions League on Tuesday. The Brazilian striker was forced off after 81 minutes with a hamstring problem and was replaced by Eddie Nketiah. Jesus was the decisive star for the Gunners as they secured a victory in Spain. The attacker set up Gabriel Martinelli for a fine goal to give his side the lead and then sent the ball curling into the net to double their advantage early in the second half.

The injury to the 26-year-old will be a concern for coach Mikel Arteta. The Gunners were dealt a blow before the game when Thomas Partey was ruled out of the match with a muscle injury. The north London side still has defender Jurrien Timber out of action, while William Saliba and Bukayo Saka were struggling with injuries during the recent international break but are now fit again.
