How To Lose Weight Fast Without Going On “A Diet”
A fashion and culture enthusiast who's really a food loving…
How fast you lose weight depends on your metabolism, physical activity level, and body composition, all of which are entirely unique to you. Going on a diet can trick you into thinking that it is working — when you might gain back what you lost as soon as you reintroduce the food types you had cut out. That can feel incredibly dispiriting if you want to lose weight or get skinny fast with results that last longer than a week.
Given, watching what you eat goes a long way to help you with your weight loss journey a lot of people will tell you that going on a diet doesn’t work for them. That’s because they are most likely looking to get skinny fast the wrong way.
What if I told you that you can lose weight without going on a particular diet, and instead focus on being more strategic about what you drink and eat?
For starters, skipping sugary beverages is one of the easiest ways to lose weight faster. It is a well-known fact that you don’t feel truly full by taking drinks, so when you drink sweet beverages, you’re packing on calories and leaving your hunger unmanaged. You then have to eat real food, packing on additional calories. Swapping sugary beverages for water or unsweetened tea is definitely a good strategy to employ.
Here are a few tips on how to lose weight or get skinny fast without going on “a diet”…
#1. Load up on vegetables
Increase your veggies intake to at least 50% of any meal you’re having. This is because veggies not only make you fuller for longer but they’re also packed with essential nutrients that enable your body to function optimally. By consuming more vegetables, you provide your body with all it needs to perform properly without necessarily having to eat a lot. Certainly, you’re on the right track to better health and fast weight loss.
#2. Rich breakfast
We have always reiterated that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Breakfast is what helps you start your day on the right track. The best, heartiest breakfasts are ones that will fill you up, keep you satisfied, and stave off cravings later in the day. Make sure to include a source of lean protein plus filling fat such as eggs, unsweetened Greek yogurt or nuts, and its kinds of butter, as well as fiber. Starting your day with a blood sugar-stabilizing blend of nutrients will help you slim down without sacrifice.
#3. Eat spicy foods
Spicy foods can actually help you cut back on calories. That’s because capsaicin, a compound found in jalapeño and cayenne peppers, may slightly increase your body’s release of stress hormones such as adrenaline, which can speed up your ability to burn calories. Plus, eating hot peppers may help slow you down your eating speed = less food consumed per meal. We all know that feeling of taking it slow when we come in contact with hot pepper! You can add ginger and turmeric to your spices as well!
#4. Eat your water
You absolutely need to drink plenty of water to help combat bloating but you should also consume high-water content foods. Reach for cucumbers, tomatoes, watermelon, asparagus, grapes, celery, pineapple and cranberries. These contain diuretic properties that increase the excretion of water from bodies yet they also help you stay full due to their higher fiber content.
#5. Make mineral rich foods your friend
In order to lose weight fast, potassium, magnesium, and calcium help to serve as a counter-balance for sodium. Foods that are rich in potassium include leafy greens, most “orange” foods (oranges, sweet potatoes, carrots, melon), bananas, and tomatoes. Low-fat dairy, plus nuts and seeds should also be included in your meals.
Religiously following these tips will automatically equal eating less of the foods that lead to weight gain. So think of them as a way to be on a diet without actually being on a diet. It’s a strategic game. Trick your brain a little and watch the weight come off!
