Last week, the world witnessed a sartorial showcase of Black male celebrities. From the flashing lights of Cannes to the high-octane world of Formula 1, these men gave classic menswear a contemporary twist and turned heads with their distinct takes on style. Indeed, the boys brought their A-game, captivating audiences with their impeccable taste. This week’s roundup highlights standout looks that exemplified elegance, innovation, and sheer fashion brilliance.

The Looks

At the 2024 Cannes Film Festival, model Alton Mason was memorable in a quirky suit from LGN Louis Gabriel Nouchi’s Fall/Winter 2024 collection. The oversized blazer featured statement shoulder pads that emphasized Mason’s statuesque frame, as loose-fitting pants continued the laid-back conversation that married classic elegance with contemporary swagger. He kept his accessories minimal yet impactful, layering three chain-link necklaces that added a subtle edge to the polished look, and completed the ensemble with a pair of snakeskin boots. Mason’s outfit perfectly encapsulated the festival’s glamorous atmosphere, merging high fashion with timeless elegance.

Formula 1 racer Lewis Hamilton brought his impeccable style to Italy for the Imola Grand Prix. Wearing a suave coordination from Prada’s SS24 Menswear collection, Hamilton demonstrated his flair for preaching luxury with a healthy dose of character. His accessories were equally noteworthy, featuring Marie Lichtenberg’s purple evil eye ring crafted from yellow gold, diamonds, and sapphire, a Cartier yellow gold, diamond, and malachite Les Berlingots de Cartier ring, and stylish Jacques Marie Mage Mishima sunglasses. Hamilton’s look was a masterclass in accessorizing, combining sophisticated pieces to create a cohesive and eye-catching ensemble.

Meanwhile, singer Usher exuded regal elegance in a head-to-toe Fear of God fit from their “Collection 8.” His offering featured a trench coat layered over a sleeveless top and matching pants, creating a sleek and sophisticated silhouette. Complementing the look with brown leather high-top sneakers, Usher balanced high-fashion with a touch of urban flair. The ensemble highlighted his ability to effortlessly merge different styles, resulting in a look that was both refined and contemporary.
