Fall is the season for checkered patterns; plaids, gingham and flannel fabrics all come out to play once the temperature deeps. We have already spotted the checkered outbreak all over Instagram. From JLo’s laid back print shirt, to Kendall Jenner’s oversized shirt turned jacket look, the ‘checkered’ fever is real!
We are particularly in love with the revamp of check-based styles by our fashion bloggers. They have been able to transform plain old checkered prints into something versatile and fun as opposed to same old laid-back plaid shirts or same old preppy style. These style stars are truly bringing on a sophisticated aura with the timeless look this season.
Folake Huntoon of Style Pantry in her style serves career-woman inspiration as she pairs a ruffle blouse with a bright red checkered skirt. She also elegantly wore a baby blue and white gingham piece which is to die for, plus her plaid blazer on denim look above.
Ranti of Ranti in Review Style Blog is a classic as always. She gives a fabulous twist to her checkered dress, literarily, and the exaggerated sleeves top is another classic look. She also brings life to a plaid pant suit by completing her look with a pop of red platform sandals. In her words too “plaid is a must for fall.”
Finally, Tanesha Awasthi of Girl with Curves is also a checkered style star in this layered fall look.
