Exciting trends have serenaded us, new products have reshaped our beauty closets, and celebs have blown hot at every turn. Last week offered more opportunities for heat and the stars set the tone for the remainder of this year with much gusto. From Paris Fashion Week to energetic performances, the world of beauty stood breathless as Black women made rounds.

Makeup
The monochrome makeup aesthetic is still marching hard among A-listers, making it a top celebrity glam look. In the glittering city of Paris, Kelly Rowland shone brighter than a diamond making a case for the trend. What makes her rendition unbelievably alluring is how well the hues blend seamlessly with her rich complexion. From her understated eyes to her lips and blush, all elements of the look played nicely together.
Elsewhere at the Dior SS24 show during Paris Fashion Week, Yara Shahidi championed shimmering skin to maximum tempo. The actress’ skin flaunted a luminous glow that injected even more interest into her overall doll-up. Beyond her skin, what made her offering stand out were her sleek, full brows, high-impact eyeliner, and brown lipstick. While the overall face beat was relatively simple, it was in no way boring.

Once the leaves begin to change colors, signaling the entrance of fall, we tend to expect that the wild colors of summer take the backseat — whether it’s in the fashion or beauty category. But the last few years have threatened to change this. Last week, rather than the muted tones of fall, Monica Denise opted for a vibrant blonde hair that flawlessly matched her skin.
