Best Dressed List: Last Week African Stars ‘Sleighed’ With Ease
As life begins to return to a normal state, celebrities and style stars across Africa––who also happen to be some of the best style influencers on Instagram––are finding reasons to dress up, step out and make a fashion statement. You can think of it as catching up on lost time. Stylish Looks On Celebrities On Instagram.
African celebrities and top fashion influencers are consistently using their style on Instagram to prove that a global pandemic doesn’t equal an end to doing the things we love––especially if it keeps us going. Stylish Looks On Celebrities On Instagram.
Even as we continuously preach the gospel of safety and ask that you observe social distancing rules, we also want to re-emphasize the fact that a fashionable outfit should not only make you look good on the outside but also make you feel confident from the inside out. That confidence is exactly what we can feel from the women on this list.
Last week, some of the most stylish African celebrities, influencers, and style stars stepped out in a range of amplified looks which they, of course, shared on Instagram.
December across the world is a festive month all around, and in Africa, it’s particularly a time for major parties and reunions––but the ongoing pandemic has meant fewer than usual events. Somehow, celebrities and influencers have found activities to keep their “sleigh” game alive––as they continue to keep fans and followers engaged with couture looks and statement pieces from the latest designer collections.
Last week, festive fabrics in the form of sequins and other bright materials stood out, as did merry colors like red and green. In Nigeria, actress, model, and media personality, Nancy Isime glowed in a champagne-colored dress featuring a thigh-high slit as she waved goodbye to 28 and celebrated her 29th year around the sun. Styled by celebrity stylist Medlinboss, she paired her gown with matching gold accessories. Perfecting her look, Nancy sported her signature blonde buzz cut while opting for a nude glam beat.
Over in South Africa, DJ, and actress, Thulisile Phongolo showed up red-carpet-ready in a pear green and brown bustier-cut Orapeleng Modutle Style Avenue couture dress. Keeping her accessories minimal with just a gold bangle and ring, she styled her dress with a pair of Christian Louboutin Strass embellished mesh pumps. A shoe design we love for its versatility! A sultry smoky makeup look and chin-level wavy curls were indeed the icing on her haute look.
The looks shared via Instagram posts by African celebrities and fashion influencers were nothing short of chic, edgy, and glamorous and it’s safe to say that we are, as usual, living vicariously through them.
