ave you ever wondered what “happily ever after” was like for Disney princesses? Maybe they went on to have a quarrel with their princes over taking out the trash, or ended up having five babies with the princes? If they did have children, how did they look while pregnant and what was their snap-back game like? The questions are inexhaustible but it gladdens my heart to know I’ve not been alone on this imagination spree.
Good for us all, Russian artist Oksana Paschenko specializes in reinventing Disney princesses as modern women. Certainly, she does such a brilliant job that has us pretty stoked about Disney princesses all over again. One of such is her reimagination of these cartoon characters as modern-day women in a maternity photo shoot. How genius!
Altogether impressive is that these photo shoots are wrapped around a solid theme of love and happily ever after. One can easily spot their favorite princess rocking a baby bump in an all-modern woman confidence and we’re loving every bit of this creativity. Finally, a breath of fresh air to see your childhood alter ego–mine was Pocahontas– looking just like you today. Millennials, I see you!
