1. Adele reportedly set to launch beauty line

Adele is rumored to be the next pop star looking to launch her line of beauty products. According to reports, the Grammy-winning singer has set up a new company under the trademark name Shelbourne Collective, which is listed as specializing in “design activities.” No official details of the company have been revealed; however, reports suggest she will use the line to create “body care products, including creams and lotions, as well as lipsticks and lip balms, along with perfume, jewelry, watches, and even underwear.”

2. Burna Boy threatens to sue Nigerian media companies

African giant Burna Boy has issued another warning to Nigerian online bloggers. This time, he is threatening to sue them. Previously, on November 3, Burna Boy took to his social media platform to ask media outlets to meet and decide how much he could pay to stop them from talking about him in the future. Then on Wednesday,  November 15, the Grammy-winning singer announced his consideration of hiring 100 lawyers to file defamation suits against Nigerian bloggers. This decision comes in response to his earlier promise to give them money as an incentive to cease posting about him. He further stated that he understood the reason behind their acts was that they were trying to earn a living.

3. South Africa: Naledi Aphiwe cashes in $3,000 from Chris Brown sample

When international superstar Chris Brown shared a video of Naledi Aphiwe singing on his Instagram stories in October 2022, gushing over how “incredible” her voice was, the 17-year-old quickly shot up trend lists. Little did she know a year later she would be sampled on the R&B singer’s 11th studio album, “11:11,” on a song titled “Shooter,” cashing in $3,000 to kick-start her career.

“Chris Brown did what I would have never done. There are many people who are talented outside and he chose a child from a small city like mine. I appreciate him so much. People who didn’t know anything about Naledi Aphiwe today know her. It has changed my home situation. Everything is good now,” Aphiwe said.

Nigerian street-hop rapper, Oladips has sadly passed away at age 28 after losing the battle to an undisclosed illness. The heartbreaking news was announced by the rapper’s management on Wednesday, November 15, noting that he passed away in the late hours of Tuesday. The post revealed that the rapper had been battling his illness privately for the past two years.

“We are saddened to inform the general public that Oladipupo Olabode Oladimeji aka OLADIPS passed away yesterday Nov 14th Tuesday evening, at exactly 10:14 pm. We are still in shock as we speak! For over 2 years he has kept his battles within himself, his body is now with his family & funeral services will be announced as soon as it is concluded! The family asked that we respect their privacy in this trying time. May God give us all the fortitude to bear this great loss. (amen),” the announcement read.

Our condolences go out to his family and friends.

5. Jude Bellingham returns to Real Madrid training pitch

Real Madrid star Jude Bellingham has already resumed training after leaving Gareth Southgate’s England squad with a shoulder injury. Bellingham was sent home from the English squad earlier this week, still recovering from a knock sustained in early November. Los Blancos were reportedly frustrated that the Three Lions insisted on calling Bellingham up but had already put him through individual drills after his return to Spain.

Bellingham suffered a partial dislocation of his left shoulder in Madrid’s La Liga contest with Rayo in early November. Although he was named among the substitutes for Los Blancos’ following fixture—a win over Braga in the Champions League—he didn’t appear against Valencia. In a press conference following his side’s win over Valencia on Saturday, Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti was adamant that his star man couldn’t play for England this international break: “He’ll be assessed [by England]. If he didn’t play today, he can’t play with the national team. He’ll do specific work on his shoulder. After the break, he can play again.”
