Congratulations are in order as Nigerian-American entertainment journalist Lola Ogunnaike took to Instagram to congratulate her sister Nikki Ogunnaike on having her recent promotion to Style Director at Elle Magazine.
This is definitely a big step in the right direction seeing as Nikki has since proven her passion for the art of fashion.
Nikki Ogunnaike was born in Virginia, USA to Nigerian parents. By following her heart and with the influence of her sister, Lola, Nikki decided to become a journalist. Starting out as an intern at Elle, Nikki has grown tremendously in her career and is now making a fashionable and impactful impression on Elle and its readers.
Being a huge fan of Jenna Lyons and having been influenced by her style, Nikki’s personal style can be said to be a mix of classy, preppy and eccentric, and her style has definitely evolved over the years. She is never one to chase after trends as she believes that style is about individuality – rocking and owning something you like, whether it’s trendy or not, is what is important to Nikki.
