5 Casual Wardrobe Essentials for Effortless Styling | Men’s

Anew year is as good a time as any to revamp your wardrobe and clear out all those holey t-shirts that you’ve been convincing yourself you’ll wear again. Well, it’s only February so the year is not far gone to start spring cleaning your wardrobe.

The foundation of any casual wardrobe are the basics like t-shirts, shirts and jeans. These can be mixed and matched in various ways to maximize the potential of your casual wardrobe.

Here is an easy guide to the casual wardrobe of your dreams.

#1The shirt jacket

‍It is a shirt and a jacket so you can call it a “shacket”. Sadly I didn’t make that name up! More than a shirt, less than a jacket, the shirt jacket is a great option for those days when you need an extra layer, but don’t need to really bundle up.

Plain tees offer more versatility than their graphic counterparts, so I suggest you invest in more of these in order to open up your options. They’re ideal to throw on with a pair of jeans or joggers for a quick and effortless look. Plain t-shirts are the ultimate casual staple but they’re also great because they can be interchanged with your formal wardrobe.

If you want to take your casual style to the next level, try adding a jacket. The sports jacket exudes this outdoorsy, sporty vibe that contrasts with the formalness of suits and blazers while the jean jacket can match well with almost everything except a pair of matching jean trouser.

Be it jeans, joggers or other unique fabric trousers, you sure want to invest in quality pairs that will stand the test of time. Jeans are the most versatile and can be dressed up or down while joggers are the ultimate casual attire.

#5Footwear

Of course, we can’t forget about footwear and casual shoes are the easiest to shop and wear so there really are no excuses. You want your feet as protected and supported as possible. So owning a nice pair of casual footwear is a no-brainer. There are loads of causal footwear alternatives from trainers to boat shoes. Make sure you go for a simple design in a plain colour and you won’t go far wrong
