Zoë Kravitz and Channing Tatum are engaged. According to reports, the mega-watt stars got engaged recently after dating for two years. Over the weekend, during a night out to celebrate Halloween, Kravitz was spotted with a huge rock on her finger. In November 2022, “The Batman” actress opened up about what attracted her to him. “He makes me laugh and we both really love art and talking about art and the exploration of why we do what we do,” Kravitz explained. “We love to watch a film and break it down and talk about it and challenge each other.”

She also said he is “just a wonderful human.” They met during the casting process of her directorial debut, “Pussy Island,” where she noted Tatum’s attentiveness made her feel safe during production.

In another landmark feat, Rema became the first African to perform at the Ballon d’Or ceremony, which is an annual ceremony organized by the French Football Federation to honor the best players in the world. At the event in Paris, Rema entertained the guests, which included superstar footballers from all around the world, with his hit single “Calm Down.” In a post on his social media accounts, Rema stated that it was a great honor for him to take Afrobeats to the global stage while giving gratitude to God for grace.

With his performance at the Ballon d’Or ceremony, Rema joins Davido and Burna Boy as Nigerian artists to have performed at some of football’s biggest stages. Davido performed at the 2022 FIFA World Cup final in Qatar, making him the first Nigerian to perform at the World Cup, while Burna Boy performed at the 2023 Champions League final in Istanbul, making him the first African to record the feat.

Durban-born global music sensation, Black Coffee, real name Nkosinathi Maphumulo, is flying the South African flag high as he continues to make strides internationally. Black Coffee, late last week, gave a lecture at Harvard Business School with Professor Anita Elberse, who specializes in the entertainment, media, and sports sectors.

Kim Kardashian has announced that her underwear brand, SKIMS, is now the official underwear brand of the National Basketball Association (NBA) and the Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA). The celebrity announced the partnership via her Instagram and Twitter pages on Monday. She posted a carousel of pictures with members of the NBA, solidifying their partnership.

Her caption read, “Introducing the SKIMS and NBA partnership. @SKIMS is now the Official Underwear Partner of the @NBA, @WNBA and @Usabasketball. I am incredibly proud of SKIMS partnership with the NBA, as it is a reflection of SKIMS growing influence on culture, Together, SKIMS and the NBA will connect people of all backgrounds through fashion, sport, and talent, and I look forward to seeing the partnership thrive.” Kardashian is the co-founder and creative director of the underwear brand, which was established in 2019 and is recently valued at about $4 billion.

5. Lionel Messi beats Erling Haaland to 2023 Ballon d’Or after leading Argentina to World Cup glory

Lionel Messi has won a record eighth Ballon d’Or, beating off competition from Manchester City sensation Erling Haaland for the 2023 award. Messi was the favorite to clinch the Golden Ball heading into the star-studded ceremony in Paris, and he was indeed handed the gong by footballing legend David Beckham on Monday night.

The 36-year-old came ahead of Manchester City’s Erling Haaland, who came in second, Paris Saint-Germain’s Kylian Mbappe in third, and City stars Kevin De Bruyne and Rodri in fourth and fifth, respectively. Real Madrid’s Vinicius Junior was sixth, City’s Julian Alvarez was seventh, Victor Osimhen was eighth, City’s Bernardo Silva was ninth, and Madrid hero Luka Modric rounded off the top 10. It is the eighth time that Messi has been crowned the best men’s player on the planet, with his performances during the 2022 World Cup going a long way to ensuring he claimed the individual silverware.
