This fall, Usher will hit the road for his massive “PAST PRESENT FUTURE” tour. The monthslong run will bring the ATL star to several North American cities, the majority of which will have multiple dates for concertgoers to choose from.

On Tuesday, February 20, Usher hopped on social media to announce that the upcoming tour will now be making stops in Europe at the top of 2025. “EU and U.K.! I couldn’t forget about U!” he cleverly wrote on both Instagram and X. Fans in London, Paris, Amsterdam, and Berlin can lock in tickets when they go on sale this Thursday, February 22.

2. Davido pledges ₦300 million to be shared among orphanages in Nigeria

Keeping with tradition, Nigerian singer Davido has pledged a sum of ₦300 million to be shared with orphanages in Nigeria through his foundation. On Tuesday, February 20, the Grammy-nominated singer announced his intentions via his socials, saying, “I and my foundation pledge the sum of 300 million naira to orphanages around Nigeria as my yearly contribution to the nation details of disbursement tomorrow.”

Davido founded the Davido Adeleke Foundation in 2022 with the help of other charitable organizations in a bid to help vulnerable children. In July 2023, he proudly announced that the foundation donated over ₦200 million to orphanages in the country and 13,818 children benefited from it. 

3. South Africa: US actor Malik Yoba joins this year’s Joburg Film Festival

Internationally acclaimed actor, musician, and philanthropist, Malik Yoba has been announced as the special guest of this year’s Joburg Film Festival. The festival, taking place at the Sandton Convention Centre from February 27 to March 3, will feature a diverse range of films from around the world and promises to be an unforgettable cinematic experience for attendees.

Malik, whose career spans more than three decades, will give a master class to aspiring filmmakers by sharing his knowledge, expertise, and insights gained from years of experience.

4. Adekunle Gold excites fans as he teases new single

After the successful release of his fifth album, “Tequila Ever After,” which followed up with one of the biggest tours for a Nigerian artist in 2023, Adekunle Gold is set to release his first single of 2024. The news of Adekunle Gold’s next single came courtesy of celebrated music producer, artist, and label boss Don Jazzy, who announced it via his X account on Monday, February 19.

The single set for release on Wednesday, February 21, is an up-tempo Amapiano and Fuji music hybrid, as Adekunle Gold aims to kick off the year with a party-starting hit. Fans on X also pointed out that the teaser appears to be a readjustment of Adekunle Gold’s collaboration with Seyi Vibez that leaked on social media in 2023.

5. Lionel Messi donates eighth Ballon d’Or to Barcelona museum

Lionel Messi has donated his eighth Ballon d’Or to the Barcelona museum, despite collecting that award during his first season at Inter Miami. The Argentine icon severed ties with the La Liga giants back in 2021, with a move to Paris Saint-Germain being made as a free agent. After two seasons in France, Messi decided to go chasing the American dream in the MLS last summer.

Having inspired Argentina to World Cup glory in Qatar 2022, an eighth Golden Ball was passed his way in 2023. Messi also helped Inter Miami to League Cup glory, making him the most decorated player of all time with 44 major honors to his name.
