The countries are Nigeria, Ghana, Cameroon, Benin Republic, Rwanda, Togo, Georgia, Zambia, Cyprus, Uganda, Ukraine, Tanzania, Qatar, and South Africa. Upon arrival, she finds her once-familiar environment grappling with violence and social tension. Directed by Meji Alabi and co-produced by Savage herself alongside Jimi Adesanya, “Water and Garri” boasts a compelling story and scenic backdrop, filmed in Cape Coast, Ghana.

3. South Africa: Uncle Waffles freestyles on ‘Sway in the Morning’

South African DJ Uncle Waffles surprised fans with her rapping skills during a recent appearance on the legendary radio show “Sway in the Morning.” While known for spinning Amapiano beats that have taken the world by storm, Waffles (real name Lungelihle Zwane) unleashed an unexpected talent as she freestyled over Lil Kim’s classic track “Lighters Up.” A clip shared by Sway himself shows Waffles confidently spitting rhymes, declaring, “Big Waffles, cream of the crop. I’m still hot, just in case you forgot. I’m on go, you know I can’t stop. I’m highly favored to shine at the top.” The freestyle ends with her signature infectious laugh.

Sway, clearly impressed, wrote on social media: “@UNCLEWAFFLES_ is taking the world by storm‼️ She is DJ’in every country around the world puttin on for Africa. 4. Davido and Odumodublvck reconcile after public feud

Nigerian music fans can rejoice as Afrobeats star Davido and rapper Odumodublvck appear to have quashed their public beef. The artists fell out weeks ago after Odumodublvck interacted with Davido’s longtime rival Wizkid on social media during their feud, which led Davido to believe he had chosen a side. This caused a stir, with Davido even threatening to cut ties with the rapper.

However, a recent video circulating online shows a more positive turn of events. The clip features the duo seemingly reconciled, chatting and laughing together outside of Nigeria. Odumodublvck is seen animatedly gesturing while Davido listens attentively. This friendly exchange has fans speculating that the drama is over and the two artists are back on good terms.

5. Nigerian sprinter Tobi Amusan becomes fastest woman in the world

Nigerian track star Tobi Amusan has cemented her place as the world’s dominant hurdler, clocking a blistering 12.40 seconds at the Jamaica Athletics Invitational. This phenomenal feat not only secured her victory in the race but also shattered the previous world-leading time of 12.42 seconds set by American Tonea Marshall in April. The race was a nail-biter, with Amusan trailing behind Jamaican reigning world champion Danielle Williams and America’s Nia Ali in the early stages. However, true to her form, Amusan unleashed her exceptional speed in the final stretch, surging past her competitors to claim a decisive win.

This triumph comes just two months before the highly anticipated Paris 2024 Olympics, sending a clear message to the competition. Amusan’s performance has ignited excitement within the Nigerian sporting community, with Sports Minister John Enoh taking to social media to shower her with praise. This latest achievement adds another chapter to Amusan’s illustrious career.
