MultiChoice has announced the return of Big Brother Naija Reunion Show which will feature the housemates of the Pepper Dem Season on Monday, June 1 on Africa Magic Urban (DStv Channel 153) at 7 pm and Africa Magic Family (DStv Channel 154 and GOtv Channel 129) at 7:30 pm. Fans of Big Brother Naija will be treated to the most epic reunion show yet that promises to be filled with emotional outbursts, wild surprises and other surprising moments served by the BBNaija Pepper Dem gang and hosted by Ebuka Obi-Uchendu. 2. Western Region now a hotspot for coronavirus in Ghana

The Director-General of the Ghana Health Service (GHS), Dr Patrick Kuma Aboagye who made this known Tuesday said the new cases are being recorded in Tarkwa, Sekondi and Takoradi.

Hitherto, the Ashanti Region, precisely in Obuasi and Kumasi were the hotspots but that has now shifted to the Western Region. The Western Region as of Tuesday morning, May 26, 2020, had recorded a total of 334 cases of the disease. The Obuasi area alone in Ashanti has recorded 272 cases out of the total regional count of 1,066.

Addressing a press briefing Tuesday morning, Dr Kuma Aboagye said Obuasi was currently under control, however, a lot more cases are emerging in the Western Region which needs to be dealt with.


3. South Africa coronavirus lockdown to ease from June 1

South African President Cyril Ramaphosa has announced a further easing of coronavirus restrictions from next month in a move that will allow most sectors of the economy to reopen fully under strict health protocols and social distancing rules.

Ramaphosa said in a televised address on Sunday that the cabinet has decided to move the country to level three of its five-level approach to easing the coronavirus lockdown from June 1. Big brother naija pepper dem reunion 2020

Africa’s most industrialised economy has been largely shut down since late March when the government enforced some of the world’s strictest restrictions in an attempt to try and stem the spread of the coronavirus which has so far infected 22,583 people and killed 429 in the country.

4. Woman faces repercussions for viral racist Central Park video

The investment company that employed a white woman identified as Amy Copper who went viral after calling the cops on a black man in Central Park on Monday has placed her on administrative leave.

The man who could be heard in the video, Christian Cooper, asked Amy now dubbed ‘Karen’ to put the dog on a leash, and when she didn’t, he offered the dog a treat. A screenshot of her LinkedIn account that was shared on Twitter identified her as the head of insurance investment solutions at Franklin Templeton.

Social media users also accused Amy of animal cruelty, as she was seen in the video grabbing and dragging the struggling dog by a neck harness. The New York Police Department is looking into the case as she might face criminal charges.


5. Zlatan Ibrahimovic suffers calf injury

AC Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has a calf injury and will be examined again in 10 days, the club has said.

The Swede, 38, suffered the injury in training on Monday and reports claimed it could be career-threatening. But, tests have confirmed the former Manchester United forward has injured his right calf, rather than his Achilles tendon.
