1. Megan Thee Stallion makes red carpet return and hints at new music

Megan Thee Stallion, the chart-topping rapper, made her highly-anticipated red carpet return at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party on March 12. The event, which is considered one of the most exclusive and star-studded parties of the year took place in Los Angeles. During an interview with Entertainment Tonight, the rapper was asked about the prospect of new music to which she cheekily replied, “Oh I am, new album, f–k y’all hoes, bye!” before walking off with a laugh.

“Hot Girl Meg” didn’t offer any more details, but a new body of work would serve as a follow-up to her 2022 sophomore effort Traumazine, which debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 and contained hit singles “Sweetest Pie” with Dua Lipa, “Pressurelicious” featuring Future, among others.

On the heels of the Tory Lanez trial ending, Megan has seemingly been out of the public eye, but with her appearance at the Vanity Fair party, it seems as though she’s easing back into public life. Until her new effort drops, you can catch the Houston native headlining the AT&T Block Party on March 31.

Award-winning Afrobeats star Fireboy DML has taken to his Twitter account to share a teaser for an unreleased single which might be his first release of 2023. The video posted on Monday, March 13, sees Fireboy singing along to a song that combines Afropop and electronic dance music elements for a catchy tune. The 1-minute long clip has excited fans who are eager to get new music from the singing sensation famous for consistently dazzling listeners with his sound.

The teased single, when released, will be Fireboy’s first release of 2023 after the release of his third album “Playboy” in 2022. Fireboy would be hoping to kick off 2023 on a high after his album “Playboy” failed to hit the heights of his earlier two albums.
