Londie London on Friday dropped the news that she will be releasing a new song on August 18 with the renowned producer DJ Maphorisa and fellow singer Yumbs. “Let’s take it back to the music 🎶🎶 Londie London ft Maphorisa and Yumbs – Themba. dropping 18/08/23,” she captioned her post. “Thembe” is a song about hope and letting people know that hope won’t kill you.

London this week had posted on her Instagram stories a picture of herself behind the booth, tagging Maphorisa and Yumbs on the post. The trio were listening to a snippet of the single. Her fans can also expect more music from the reality TV star as she is working towards an EP. The singer has clearly got the time to be going back to cooking up music as she had taken a hiatus after becoming a mother.

4. Doja Cat tapped as headliner for “The Victoria’s Secret World Tour”

On Thursday, it was revealed that Doja Cat will be the lead performer for “The Victoria’s Secret World Tour,” which is described as part fashion show, part documentary. The special is set to premiere on Amazon’s Prime Video on September 26 and will be the first official broadcast for the lingerie brand since its final televised runway show in 2018.

In addition to her performance, Doja contributed to the creative process behind the big occasion — specifically, her outfit designs that viewers will see in the body of work. “Because the ‘Tour’ is a celebration of the strength and unique talent of creatives, we really wanted to channel this message… I felt so powerful and confident wearing these pieces, which is so important to me,” Doja Cat said.

5. Simone Biles wins gold in return to competitive gymnastics at 2023 US Classic

It was a triumphant return for superstar gymnast Simone Biles on Saturday night as she took home the gold at the US Classic at the Now Arena in Hoffman Estates, Illinois. It was her first competitive meet since the 2021 Tokyo Olympics and she reasserted her dominance against a loaded field that included Olympic teammates Jade Carey, Jordan Chiles, and Suni Lee. Biles basically blew the rest of the competition out of the water, as one would expect. She finished with a score of 59.10 for the meet. The next closest score was 54.10 put up by 19-year-old Leanne Wong.

It had been a long time coming for the seven-time Olympic medalist, who last competed 732 days ago at the Tokyo Olympics. At the time, she withdrew from the all-around finals for mental health reasons which shocked the world. She would later reveal that she was dealing with a case of the “twisties,” a sudden inability to understand her body position while she’s airborne. Biles still wound up winning bronze on the balance beam after returning for only that event. Now, her eyes will be locked on the national trials and an opportunity to go to the Olympics in Paris in 2024.
