LeBron James is releasing another children’s book next year. “I AM MORE THAN is about believing in yourself and all the amazing things you’re capable of, which no one else can define for you. I hope everyone that reads it feels inspired to be ‘more than’ in everything they do,” said the NBA star in a press release. The book follows James and illustrator Niña Mata’s 2020 New York Times Best Seller picture book, I Promise.

This initial work drew inspiration from the principles and endeavors of James’ I Promise program in his hometown of Akron, Ohio. HarperCollins Publishers signed a two-book contract with the LeBron James Family Foundation in 2020 with the goal of encouraging young readers, emphasizing the idea that they are beyond merely “one label, trait, or interest.”

Lupita Nyong’o is going through a breakup. On Thursday, October 19, the Oscar winner broke the news of what appeared to be a breakup with boyfriend Selema Masekela. In a copious Instagram post, the Oscar winner opened up about the angst she feels and how she hopes her transparency might encourage others experiencing separation. While not dropping Masekela’s name, she wrote, “At this moment, it is necessary for me to share a personal truth and publicly dissociate myself from someone I can no longer trust…”

The couple went official on Instagram in December 2022 and often created cute reels, highlighting their shared style. The movie star has now scrubbed all posts about Masekela from the platform.

5. Man City breaks Man Utd’s record for consecutive home wins after beating Brighton

Manchester City have broken Manchester United’s record for most consecutive wins on home soil by a Premier League club after they beat Brighton 2-1 on Saturday. Julian Alvarez and Erling Haaland got the goals as City got three points against Brighton, bouncing back after two straight Premier League defeats. City have now won 21 consecutive matches at the Etihad Stadium in all competitions since the start of the calendar year. That is a new record-winning run at home by a Premier League team, breaking the previous best set by United in 2010–11.

Pep Guardiola was impressed by his team, telling reporters: “Against Brighton for 95 mins, controlling them is impossible. No team in the world can do that. I am surprised we did it for 55-60 minutes. They link with the strikers and we went man to man with Julian [Alvarez] and Erling [Haaland].” He added: “I give credit to the team for victory.”
