Best Dressed List: Last Week Style Stars Embraced Boundary-Pushing Looks

Last week, in a range of looks that embraced everything from menswear classics to avant-garde designs, celebrities and influencers across Africa affirmed our belief that fashion should never be prescriptive. Latest men’s fashion 2020.

The current hot take in menswear fashion involves embracing what was once strictly feminine: think pussy-bow blouses, wild prints, deconstructed pants, vibrant colors and other boundary-pushing elements of men’s fashion.

Nigerian lifestyle influencer, Noble Igwe embodied the wild in a purple leopard print double-breasted suit which he wore over a classic white shirt. The look was sartorial yet playful as he accessorised with a pair of hibiscus-coloured suede loafers, a tan fedora hat and a pair of aviator sunglasses. Indeed everything looks better with the right accessories.

The vibe carried over onto South Africa as celebrity doctor, fashion influencer and health innovator, Sivuyile Madikana graced the South African Style Awards red carpet—where he won the award for the most stylish game changer—in a powder blue Bobo Ndima cargo suit. For shoes, he went with a pair of white and red Merlin B4S0081 Sneakers by Calvin Klein Jeans which matched the eccentricity of the suit. He further accessorised with a pair of white-framed sunglasses.

There were even more boundary-pushing looks.
