With Big Brother Naija evictions over the weekend, some of you may have missed out on your favourite Nigerian celebrities and style influencers dishing out chic and trendy looks as always. Not us, we stay hooked on our fashion diet and as usual, we’ve curated the very best looks spotted on these top Style Ravens for your inspiration.
Last weekend, a number of celebrities and style influencers dished out printastic looks that reminded us that summer isn’t over until it is over. Their looks also kept us grounded in our love for African prints as they styled their pieces in very innovative ways that left us clicking save, save and save on Ini Dima-Okojie, Linda Osifo and Bolanle Olukanni’s looks. But it was Dakore Akande’s look that had us falling in love again with the Adire fabric.
Your faves really kept their looks super stylish as they went about the order of the weekend and TV girl Idia Aisien’s black dress with cutouts was the ultimate rave-worthy weekend look. From the looks with Ankara prints to those without, their fashion choices are sure to inspire every fashion-forward woman.
Here are the best celebrity and influencer styles from this past weekend…
For Ini Dima-Okojie, summer is far from over as she enjoys her vacation in Venice. She kept it chic and simple in this black off the shoulder crop top which she paired with an Adire draped skirt. She finished off her look by opting for a pair of flats, sunglasses and beach hat for protection against the sun’s UV rays.
Linda Osifo is constantly schooling us on how to dress our curves and this past weekend, she tackled how to mix and match two different Ankara prints with similar patterns. Letting her dress and curves steal the show, she finished off her looks with a barely-there pair of strappy sandals and a chain purse over her shoulders. So, so chic!
Bolanle Olukanni shows off some skin in her short Ankara dress paired with transparent / PVC mules. The over-sized hoop earrings were a perfect finish! And you have to agree that cornrowed hairstyle is so refreshing.
Actress and producer Genevieve Nnaji once again decided to redefine simplicity and effortlessness. Her printed dress matched with her sling bag and ballet flats for a stroll in town.
Adire for the win always! Nollywood actress Dakore Egbuson-Akande is every inch a yummy mummy. Adding that pop of red to her overall neutral look is the right kind of contrast we can’t help but fall in love with.
Like the sun in the skies wasn’t enough, Ufuoma McDermott added more pop of sunshine with her dress which features an interesting insert of print. While we would have preferred a different colour for the socks, the sneakers was also a refreshing balance for her dress.
Ariyike Owolagba is owning her style one look after the other. This time she’s seen sporting a vibrant floral print dress, a matching pair of heeled slippers and a purse that proved she’s definitely not afraid of colours.
One-half of the Goodhair Ltd bosses, Chioma Ikokwu was the ideal wedding guest in this feathery piece by Style Temple. Letting all eyes be on her dress, she opted for gold pumps and a matching YSL clutch.
Idia Aisien is a fashion force to be reckoned with. Last weekend, she kept things simple with a black dress featuring interesting cut-outs and feather detailing.
Ex BBNaija housemate Bisola Aiyeola is the perfect brown skin girl in this gold coloured two-piece. Her entire look was minimalistic yet elegant and chic! And we love!
