The 2020 election results are still rolling in, and it might be days or weeks before the presidential race is decided between President Donald Trump and former Vice President Joe Biden. But Kanye West can rest his mind knowing that he didn’t win. The rapper admitted defeat after getting just 60,000 votes in twelve states.

By comparison, Biden had about 70 million votes Thursday morning and Trump was approaching that figure as well. Kanye West also had fewer votes than Libertarian Party nominee Jo Jorgensen in every state where he appeared on the ballot, but he was in fourth place in some states. Jorgensen had about 1.5 million total votes, or 1.1% nationwide, as of Thursday morning. Kanye West votes election 2020.

Kanye West ran as an independent party and missed the deadline to appear on the ballot of many states because of his late application.

It seems Kanye West is not backing down as he hinted, in a now-deleted tweet, his interest in running for President in 2024. “WELP KANYE 2024.”

Former BBNaija housemates and first runner up of season 5, Dorathy Bachor was left dumbfounded after her fan base surprised her with a Mercedes Benz as part of the celebrations to make her day a memorable one. Dorathy organized a dinner party for her friends and family to share in her joy as she turns a year older.

During the party, Dorathy was asked to go out to receive birthday presents from her friends and family, and lo and behold, when she went out it was a brand new Mercedes Benz.

The night was a memorable one as she got to spend it with friends, ex-BBNaija housemates, and family.

South African comedian Siv Ngesi finds it humorous that South African celebrities are so vocal about the US elections. The nail-biting race between Democratic nominee Joe Biden and US President Donald Trump has been the main topic of conversation both online and in real life.

The “Knuckle City” star decided to throw some shade and said: “Great to see SA celebrities have political opinions without being in the pocket of the party in power! They tweet more about US elections than SA political issues #Elections2020.”

4. Ghana: Mzbel opens up about suicide attempt

Singer Mzbel has revealed she almost took her own life after her nude photos were leaked online in 2012. In an interview on Accra FM, she expressed her frustrations, fears, and worry at that time, not being as experienced in the industry as she is now.

“I had nightmares, I didn’t know what to do…I almost killed myself,” Mzbel said.

The singer turned entrepreneur denied being the source of the leak as had been suspected. According to her, the picture was from a photoshoot done for a cosmetic company called Vitfee. It was agreed that the team at the company would cover the vital parts of her body with their products for the advertisement.

However, a journalist who had been instructed to take a picture from her laptop for a story downloaded the folder with her nude photos and leaked them, Mzbel explained. The “Obaa” singer said she is not as bothered by the photos now like she used to be.

5. Sergio Ramos reaches 100 goals for Real Madrid

Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos said he hopes he can get a few more records after his 100th goal for the club. Ramos’ header gave Real Madrid a 2-0 lead against Inter Milan as they eventually won 3-2 for their first Champions League win of the season. That was his 55th header for the club – on top of 21 penalties, two free-kicks, and 22 goals using his feet from open play.

“It’s not bad,” the 34-year-old said. “Individual records are secondary, but you like hitting them. As long as they keep on helping the side win then hopefully I can get a few more.”

He has scored 14 Champions League goals across 11 seasons (only Raul and Karim Benzema have scored in more Champions League seasons for Real than Ramos). He has netted a record 74 in La Liga (including two for Sevilla), seven in the Spanish Cup, and a smattering across other competitions. In total, he has played 659 times for the club and won 22 trophies.
