Hailey Bieber is bringing her years of ballet training into contemporary athleisure with a new 23-piece collection for Adanola. Rooted in the rituals of dance rehearsals, the collaboration translates familiar studio layers into everyday wardrobe staples, including knit boleros, ribbed leg warmers, fold-waist yoga pants, and relaxed separates designed to move between workouts and the street.
Rather than leaning on the traditional ballerina aesthetic, the collection takes a more understated approach to balletcore. Rich brown tones, muted mauve, chalk lilac, and vintage blue replace the predictable dominance of pastel pink, giving the pieces a more mature feel. The result is a capsule that draws on the discipline and practicality of classical dance while reflecting the relaxed styling that has made athleisure a fixture of contemporary fashion.
Hailey Bieber Draws on Her Ballet Background
The collaboration has a personal foundation for Bieber, who trained as a classical ballerina for 12 years before pursuing a career in modeling. That experience became a starting point for the collection, informing both its silhouettes and the way the individual pieces are intended to be worn.
For dancers, rehearsal dressing is often about adjusting clothing to accommodate movement and changing temperatures. Sweatshirts are cropped or pushed up, waistbands are folded, and layers are gradually removed as the body warms up. These practical habits helped shape the collection, which favors adaptable garments over overly polished interpretations of ballet attire.
Bieber worked closely with Adanola founder Hyrum Cook to develop the range, focusing on the relationship between movement, comfort, and personal style. Cook described the partnership as a natural fit, pointing to Bieber’s influence on fashion and culture alongside her genuine connection to wellness and movement.
The collaboration builds on that shared perspective, using Bieber’s memories of dance training to create clothes that feel connected to the studio without being confined to it.
From Rehearsal Layers to Everyday Dressing

Layering is central to the 23-piece capsule. The pieces are designed to work together or stand on their own, allowing wearers to adjust their outfits throughout the day. A fitted activewear base can be paired with softer knitwear or relaxed outer layers, creating combinations suited to Pilates sessions, errands, and casual outings.
Among the standout designs is the Shawl Knit Bolero, an open-front layer that brings a soft texture to the collection. The Modal Overlay Trousers offer a fluid alternative to conventional workout pants, while the Rib Knit Leg Warmers revisit a familiar dancewear accessory through a relaxed, retro silhouette.
The Fold-Waist Yoga Pants continue the emphasis on adjustable styling, with a double-layer waistband that can be folded to change the look and fit. For cooler weather, the Funnel Neck Polar Fleece introduces a boxy, cropped shape and an internal toggle system.
An embroidered Sling Bag rounds out the offering, adding a functional accessory to the otherwise soft, movement-inspired wardrobe. Custom co-branded embroidery across the collection provides a consistent detail without overwhelming the silhouettes.
Together, the pieces reflect a version of athleisure that places as much emphasis on styling flexibility as it does on comfort.
A More Restrained Approach to Balletcore

Color is another defining element of the collaboration. While ballet-inspired fashion frequently gravitates toward pink, Bieber deliberately moved away from the familiar shade in favor of a more nuanced palette.
Coffee Bean, a rich brown, anchors the collection and creates contrast with dusty mauve, chalk lilac, and vintage blue. Black also features prominently, recalling the simplicity of traditional rehearsal leotards. These colors give the garments a versatility that extends beyond the balletcore trend, making them easier to incorporate into an existing wardrobe.
Bieber explained that she wanted to avoid stark ballerina pink because the look had already been explored extensively. Instead, she favored the combination of coffee tones and softer mauve shades, allowing the collection to retain its dance references without feeling overly literal.
That decision is reflected in the styling, too. Cardigans sit loosely off the shoulder, trousers are adjusted to change their proportions, and layers appear slightly undone. The effect is closer to the personal, improvised dressing of a dancer preparing for or leaving rehearsal than to a costume-inspired interpretation of ballet.
Adanola Keeps the Collection Within Reach

The collection also reflects Adanola’s position in the competitive premium athleisure market. Individual pieces are priced between $46 and $130, keeping the collaboration below the price levels often associated with celebrity-led luxury fashion launches.
Key pieces include the Rib Knit Leg Warmers at $46, the Shawl Knit Bolero at $65, the Modal Overlay Trousers at $75, the Fold-Waist Yoga Pants at $90, and the Funnel Neck Polar Fleece at $130. The range offers several entry points for shoppers interested in the aesthetic without committing to a complete wardrobe.
The pricing supports Adanola’s broader appeal to younger consumers while allowing the brand to maintain its focus on considered design and everyday wearability. The Manchester-based label has previously worked with high-profile names, including Kendall Jenner and Lila Moss, as it continues to expand its presence in the athleisure market.
The business has also attracted significant investment. A minority investment from STORY3 Capital Partners reportedly valued the company at approximately $530 million, giving the brand additional resources as it pursues international growth.
An Urban Campaign for a Dance-Inspired Wardrobe

The campaign reinforces the collection’s emphasis on movement and everyday styling. Photographer Angelo Pennetta captured the imagery in Los Angeles, with celebrity stylist Dani Michelle responsible for the looks. Rather than relying on the bright, clinical atmosphere of a traditional fitness campaign, the visuals draw on an urban evening setting.
Bieber appears throughout the imagery, wearing the pieces in ways that highlight their relaxed proportions and layering potential. Slouched knitwear, adjusted waistbands, and casually styled trousers reinforce the idea that these garments are meant to be personalized rather than worn according to rigid styling rules.
The campaign’s cinematic atmosphere also creates a connection to the quieter moments surrounding dance practice, when clothing is selected for comfort and adjusted according to individual preference. This approach gives the collection a more intimate identity than a conventional activewear launch.
Balletcore Moves Beyond the Studio

Balletcore has developed from a fashion reference into a broader approach to everyday dressing, extending beyond ballet flats and delicate silhouettes to include warm-up layers, fitted separates, and relaxed knitwear. Its continued presence in contemporary fashion reflects the appeal of combining graceful proportions with practical clothing.
Bieber and Adanola’s collaboration builds on that evolution. Rather than reproducing stage costumes or traditional dance uniforms, it draws from the functional details that make rehearsal clothing distinctive. The pieces prioritize movement, layering, and comfort while retaining the visual softness associated with ballet.
For Adanola, the partnership offers an opportunity to explore a more personal side of athleisure. For Bieber, it connects her history as a dancer with her influence on contemporary style. The collection’s strongest proposition is its ability to make ballet-inspired dressing feel natural outside the studio, where adaptable layers and thoughtful proportions matter as much as the aesthetic itself.
