Orobosa Igbinedion and Umar Mantu’s wedding ceremonies are still being raved about weeks after the couple tied the knot across various cities in Nigeria and South Africa. The wedding celebrations started out in September at the bride’s family house in Edo State, followed by the Kamu, Durbar and wedding dinner at ICC, Abuja.
Expectedly, the wedding ceremonies were well attended by the crème de la crème of Nigeria’s high society. Umar is the son of former deputy Senate President Ibrahim Mantu, while Orobosa is the daughter of the Esama of Benin, Chief Gabriel Igbinedion.
The Durbar ceremony brought the city of Abuja to a standstill as the groom led a camel procession from Asokoro to the bride’s Abuja family home in Maitama. From there, the bride joined the groom on camel her own camel in true royalty style. The white wedding proper was held in Johannesburg in October bringing the wedding ceremonies to an end.
Ovation TV brings us highlights of the ceremonies in this must-watch half-hour clip.
