Ibukun Awosika

Ibukun Awosika is by every definition of the word a true trailblazer! She’s the Chairman, Board of Directors, First Bank of Nigeria Limited. As the Chairman of “Nigeria’s premier and most valuable banking brand,” she is heavily responsible for building on the bank’s strong history of impeccable banking services and helping it overcome emerging hurdles in order to remain competitive in a rapidly changing sector. Awosika is also the founder and Chief Executive Officer of The Chair Centre Group of Companies and chairs various corporate and non-profit boards amongst many other achievements.

In response to her desire to give back much of what she’s learned to the society, Awosika co-founded women in Business, Management and Public Service (WIMBIZ), a support organization which seeks to empower women to succeed in the related industries.

Here she speaks to young entrepreneurs at Brand Identity Global (BIG), a business-focused conference powered by First Bank. The BIG conference was created to help business owners, especially small businesses and new entrepreneurs, enrich their knowledge about branding on an international level.
